Why the law was called “The Patriot Act”

At no time was our federal government incapable of tracking and investigating potential terrorists. So why the Patriot Act? What does it do?

The Patriot Act empowers the federal government to spy on patriots, ordinary, tax-paying, apple-pie-eating, baseball-playing, Chevrolet-driving Americans. What the act essentialy did was strip us of our Fourth Amendment right to protection from “unreasonable searches and siezures“. The Fourth Amendment is one of those ‘unalienable rights’ mentioned in the Declaration of Independence. Inalienable (unalienable) rights differ from legal rights in that God authored the first, human lawmakers the second. Inalienable means “unable to be taken away from or given away by the possessor”.

As much as I hate to say this, I must. It was under the watch of a Republican president (Bush 43) this law came into being. Subsequently, we have now an ever-growing Department of Homeland Security.

Man-made law can be rescinded. God-made law cannot. What can we expect, if we stand by as our inalienable rights are taken away by big government? Are we not in rebellion against the Living God?

DHS, under the so-called leadership of Janet Napolitano, has gone beyond invasive naked-body scanners and tactile molestations. She is now deploying DHS “screeners” on America’s highways.

How long will you be silent? When will you recognize the tyranny of big government?

What can you do? Talk about this with your friends, family and neighbors. Write your congressional delegation – House and Senate.

This will be the best security for maintaining our liberties. A nation of well-informed men who have been taught to know and prize the rights which God has given them cannot be enslaved. It is in the religion of ignorance that tyranny begins.” — Benjamin Franklin
