Which Do You Want: Another Great Depression or Another Great Revival?

Looking Bad in Baghdad

I knew it would happen. No doubt, you knew it would happen and now it’s happening. Barely hours following the pull out of US forces from Iraq, the country is ablaze and falling into chaos.

Did Barack Obama know this was going to happen? Yes! The CIA warned him this would happen.

Dozens die as bombs explode across Baghdad

I didn’t need counsel of the CIA to know what would happen. Democracy is unsuitable to any people that are neither Christians nor Jews. What about India, you ask. Don’t kid yourself – the illegal caste system, religious persecution and murder of baby girl rage in India.

Only a strongman can restrain Islamic nations. Turkey’s attempt at secular society has blown up in their faces. The Shah of Iran took his country into a modern, secular society that began to enjoy western materialism until Jimmy Carter helped that “harmless cleric” overthrow the Iranian government. Anwar Sadat worked tirelessly to modernize, westernize Egypt and today the Muslim Brotherhood stands poised to take over the country. I see a trend and Jordan is not far behind.

Egypt, Turkey, Iran and Egypt had peace treaties with Israel. Practically overnight, radical Muslims are poised to establish a Middle East caliphate that threatens to annihilate tiny Israel.

Given the fact the CIA warned President Obama, what conclusions can one draw? Yes, Obama’s hatred of Jews (isn’t this a characteristic of radical Islam) motivated him to remove all US military presence from Iraq.

Beforehand, Iraq’s minority Sunni (Arab Muslim) population ruled under strongman Saddam Hussein, holding the majority Shia (non-Arab Muslim) population at bay.

What’s The Cure?

Will we successfully restore America to her greatness? Never. Only the miraculous intervention of the Living God can save us. Fear is overtaking America: fear of bankruptcy, fear of homelessness, fear of hunger, fear of unemployment, fear of war, fear of terrorism – fears we simply do not need. We do need a healthy fear of God.

Learn From the Foundation for Economic Education

The man or woman who fears God fears nothing else. Faith is a gift from God; belief is the act of taking ownership of that gift.

I encourage you to absorb the Word of God – the Bible, attach yourself to a Bible-believing local church, learn to overcome difficulties of life through the teachings of great pastors like Robert Morris of Gateway Church in Texas. His very popular book “The Blessed Life” holds the key to living a successful life in difficult times.

Regarding Gaining Wealth in Difficult Times (anytime for that matter)

Be a giver. According to Proverbs 19:17: “If you help the poor, you are lending to the Lord – and he will repay you.” Give selflessly to the Salvation Army USA, the North Texas Food Bank and local ministries to the poor. Here in Rockwall County we have Helping Hands. Because of high unemployment and other economic dynamics, all these resources have been stretched beyond their normal capacity to relieve hunger.

Regarding keeping what you have

Possibly the oldest book of the Bible, the book of Job, tells the story of a good man who lost everything. In chapter 3, verse 25, Job confesses: “What I always feared has happened to me. What I dreaded has come true.” Don’t become a product of your fears.

Regarding Peace for Your Family

Pray for Israel and especially pray for Peace in Jerusalem. Psalm 122:6 is a commandment with a benefit: “Pray for peace in Jerusalem. Mall who love this city prosper.”

Regarding Peace for Your Nation

Pray for all elected and non-elected officials in authority over you. 1 Timothy 2:2 says, “Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity.”

  1. The Obama’s-a-secret-Muslim schtick is ridiculously outdated and the faux concern for “dem Jews” is beyond patronizing. Conservatives are the first to scream about reducing our national deficit and the last to realize that military spending is the biggest piece of the pie. Defunding NPR and praying is not a sound economic policy.

  2. Joesix,

    Thank you for your comment.

Your Commander-in-Chief was sired by a Muslim communist, raised by another Muslim communist, mentored by Frank Marshall Davis, a genuine communist, and counseled by two bona fide American born domestic terrorists: Bill Ayers and Bernadette Dorn.

President Obama stated in his book, Dreams From My Father, “I never emulate white men and brown men whose fates didn’t speak to my own. It was into my father’s image, the black man, son of Africa, that I’d packed all the attributes I sought in myself, the attributes of Martin and Malcolm, Dubois and Mandela.”

Among those men he chose to emulate, Nelson Mandela was a communist, W.E.B. Du Bois was a communist, Malcolm X, whose life was marked with radical personal changes in direction, was anti-capitalist, promoted socialism at times in his life and advocated revolution. Even hard-line communists debate Malcolm X’s ideology. Nonetheless, all Obama’s icons of “social justice” were classically anti-American.

Where I come from (South Texas), we say, if it walks like a skunk, smells like a duck, it’s a skunk. Hence, my firm belief Barack Hussein Obama is a stealth communist.

With respect to his Islamic (Muslim) faith, I point to his use of practically every federal agency as “outreach” to Islamic countries. More can be said on this point, but unnecessary to support this conversation, except to say Kenyan Muslims firmly believe he is one of their own – this I know from a close friend who has lived continuously in Nairobi Kenya for many years.

The big issue: faith in the Living God

Until the age of almost 28, I had no need of nor time for religion or faith or church. Those who knew me never asked which church I attended. Anger seethed within my heart. My spiritual condition was out there for all to see. I grew up too soon. At 17 years of age I began working on offshore drilling rigs where I fit in handily. I was a ready-made ‘rough neck’.

It was a time after five years of marriage to a wonderful woman who bore me two sons and a third on the way, that I came to the end of my personal resources. I was physically very ill, unemployed and running out of hope. At this point, my wife pursuaded me to attend a church. She began teaching me the Bible. In the middle of August 1969 a radical change came about in my life when the Living God sovereignly healed me and supernaturally opened a perfect job for me in an industry where I have worked for almost 38 years. The best way for me to say what happened is I had a divine encounter with God; I was born again.

I became a student of the Bible. As I learned more, God brought upon me more challenges. True, a lot of people don’t believe in God or Jesus or the power of prayer, but I do and it’s not a theoretical belief. Everyone eventually comes to believe in the Living God, the Creator of the Universe who sent his only natural-born son to die for us. Atheist Christopher Hitchins recently passed away and the moment he did, he knew the truth that God is and he is a rewarder of them who diligently seek him.

Whatever the source of you bitterness, God can heal you.

    Merry Christmas

    1. Mr. Rockwall,

Thank you for your civil reply. I would have wished you a Happy Hanukkah from Beijing, but WordPress is banned in China. Regarding our Commander in Chief, it shouldn’t matter whether or not he’s Muslim (he’s not); we’re part of an amazing nation that prides itself on tolerance of all ethnic and religious backgrounds, proclaiming to the world, “Give us your tired, your poor.” And if Barack Obama were truly a communist, his liberal base wouldn’t have to lament the fact that America is still one of few developed countries left without universal healthcare and a national infrastructure that continues to strengthen its mass transit and clean, renewable energy.

The God thing is a deeply personal issue, I agree. But to take your religion and assume that it’s the one and only way to all of our salvation is beyond brazen. It’s childish.

My short autobiography with religion goes something like this: I recently finished my Peace Corps service in Bulgaria, where I volunteered with Christian, Muslim, and Roma populations. Amid the intense racial and religious divides among these communities, I strived to treat all my students the same, and realized that they actually were all the same past skin color. The only thing that separated them and fueled their hatred for one another was their intrinsic beliefs that only their culture knew best. I struggled daily to explain to my friends that Americans don’t really care about which group is “more Bulgarian” due to their families’ or cultures’ pasts. If you’re born in Bulgaria, you’re a Bulgarian.

This was the most foreign concept I could ever try to relate to them. And it made me truly love America, because underneath all the bigotry and showboating, the majority of Americans do realize the importance of modesty, of second-guessing the one and only way, of embracing the rest of the world’s tired and poor. And you don’t need Jesus to cry during the national anthem. You don’t need a church to have a heart.

Happy New Year’s from South Korea.

      1. Thank you for the New Year blessing, Joesix. I, too, have worked with poor and oppressed people. My experiences since 1986 have taken place in several Latin American countries.

Regarding “the only way” issue, a Christian worldview is wholly enveloped by the teachings of Jesus who says “I am the way, the truth and the life”. The acid test of one’s faith comes after the moment of death. Many think just being a “good person” will get you to some kind of paradise, nirvana, heaven, etc. If that is so, then everything written about Jesus in the Bible is false. I choose to believe every word of the Bible.

Watching an old movie tonight, I saw again a scene where Mel Gibson is fighting some villian inside the burning framework of a house under construction. The villian, wounded and unable to escape, tells Gibson to go to hell. Gibson replies, “You go first.”, then sets in motion a tractor that carries the bad guy into the inferno.

Either your worldview is correct or mine is correct. One of us will probably get to find out before the other. At my advanced age, it’s likely to be me. My future is secure.

As to the matter of Obama’s worldview, apart from my firm conviction he is Muslim and a communist, his actions, the actions of an educated man with the best and most up to date sources of information, unmistakeably demonstrate his disdain for capitalism, Christians and Jews. Furthermore, abundant evidence has indicatec his affinity for all things Muslim from before the 2008 elections. For example, here is a link to a YouTube video you may find interesting. [ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4EcC0QAd0Ug ] Percy Sutton describes how Dr. Khalid al-Mansour raised funds for Obama to get into Harvard and get him appointed to the Harvard Law Review – four years in advance of his actual appointement. This is only one resource of information available to the general public.

I hope you have a wonderful new year and thank you for your comments.
