Real Life Story
n a chilling segment on Monday’s Glenn Beck Program, former National Security Agency (NSA) employees discussed how they were targeted by the U.S. government — some even held at gunpoint — and explained in disturbing detail how NSA is gathering information on citizens across the country. Diane Roark, Bill Binney, Kirk Wiebe and Tom Drake, the former NSA executive who was charged under the Espionage Act, all weighed in.

“But a Constitution of Government once changed from Freedom, can never be restored. Liberty, once lost, is lost forever.” – John Adams | Attorney, Signer of the Declaration of Independence, Diplomat, politician, statesman and President of the United States
My young fellow Americans haven’t enjoyed the liberty I have enjoyed. When I first began commercial flights in 1967, one needed only money – cash or personal check. True, the airlines accepted credit cards, but common people didn’t qualify for American Express, Diners Club or Carta Blanche. You didn’t even have to use your real name. They just wanted your money.
We didn’t go through rigorous security screeners, at least not until the advent of Sky Marshall Program created to thwart high-jacking of overseas flights, mostly to Cuba. Marshalls actually (gasp!!) profiled passengers. If some particularly suspicious person came their way, they went into action. I suppose it was successful, since I recall no further incidences of high-jackings after these fellows went to work.
So, where are we now? A passenger who uses cash is an immediate suspect. As far as I know, no airline will accept personal checks, just credit cards. Oh, and remember your photo ID. You can go nowhere without that photo ID – “Papers, please.”
The island of liberty swiftly sinks below the rising tide of government “homeland security”.
Journalist H. L. Mencken mournfully wrote, “All government, in its essence, is a conspiracy against the superior man: its one permanent object is to oppress him and cripple him.If it be aristocratic in organization, then it seeks to protect the man who is superior only in law against the man who is superior in fact; if it be democratic, then it seeks to protect the man who is inferior in every way against both. One of its primary functions is to regiment men by force, to make them as much alike as possible and as dependent upon one another as possible, to search out and combat originality among them. All it can see in an original idea is potential change, and hence an invasion of its prerogatives. ”
We have come to a time when every citizen is a suspect.
To The Point
To you readers of this article, employees of the NSA and/or FBI: the original intent of our Founders was for government to serve the people, to respect individulity, to suport and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; to bear true faith and allegiance to the same; to take this obligation freely, without mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that you will well and faithfully discharge the duties of your office.
“Without mental reservation” – very sobering words, don’t you agree?
If you are sent to arrest me, for whatever reason, I don’t want to be disturbed while in the shower. I could become very, very disagreeable under such circumstances.
Meanwhile, I ask you to reconsider general suspicion of loyal Americans. Liberty, once lost, is lost forever, and that includes YOUR liberty, as well.
