Democrats Sneak Gun Control Into Cybersecurity Bill

When anti-freedom Democrats talk about limiting gun magazines, they talk publicly about “100 rounds”, but the amendment attached to the Cybersecurity Bill sets a limit of 10 rounds.

Calls and emails to your two U.S. Senators today can preserve liberty for another day.

Tell them to oppose the amendment S.A. 2575 to the Cybersecurity Bill that is an assault on the Second Amendment and American freedom.

Also tell them to vote against the Cybersecurity Bill if the amendment sticks.

Second Amendment – Hinging on the Tenth

Fox News Sunday – Chris Wallace Interviews Justice Antonin Scalia

Excerpt on the topic of Second Amendment

WALLACE: Let’s turn to an issue that is the news right now with the massacre in Colorado. And that is gun control.

You wrote in 2008, the opinion in District of Columbia v. Heller, the majority opinion that said the Second Amendment means what it says, people have a right to bear arms. Question: how far does that constitutional right go? Can a legislature ban semiautomatic weapons or can it ban magazines that carry 100 rounds without violating an individual’s constitutional right to bear arms?

SCALIA: What the opinion Heller said is that it will have to be decided in future cases. What limitations upon the right to bear arms are permissible. Some undoubtedly are, because there were some that were acknowledged at the time. For example, there was a tort called affrighting, which if you carried around a really horrible weapon just to scare people, like a head ax or something, that was I believe a misdemeanor.

So yes, there are some limitations that can be imposed. What they are will depend on what the society understood was reasonable limitation. There were certainly location limitations where —

WALLACE: But what about these technological limitations? Obviously, we’re not talking about a handgun or a musket. We’re talking about a weapon that can fire a hundred shots in a minute, SCALIA: We’ll see. I mean, obviously, the amendment does not apply to arms that cannot be hand-carried. It’s to keep and bear. So, it doesn’t apply to cannons. But I suppose there are handheld rocket launchers that can bring down airplanes that will have to be — it will have to be decided.

WALLACE: So, how do you decide if you’re a textualist?

SCALIA: Very carefully. My starting point and ending point probably will be what limitations are within the understood limitations that the society had at the time. They had some limitation on the nature of arms that could be born. So, we’ll see what those limitations are as applied to modern weapons.

Why Does DHS Need 450 million rounds of .40 cal. and .223 cal. hollow-point ammunition?

Reference: Business Insider March 2012 Article: The Department Of Homeland Security Is Buying 450 Million New Bullets

At a U.S. population of 310,000,000 DHS will posses enough ammunition to kill every man, woman and child living on U.S. soil.

Original Intent: The Second Amendment is for our defense against a tyrannical government. I agree with Justice Scalia’s statement that “limitations are within the understood limitations that the society had at the time“. In other words, citizens could only “bear arms” that were available at the time the Constitution was written.

Technology advances and so it naturally follows that citizens and soldiers enjoy advanced technologies together.

Tenth Amendment is our Safe Harbor

While federal government expands by the day, Republican governors and state legislators are rising to the challenge of preserving American natural rights and freedoms.

Yes, national elections are important, but your state elections even more so. November general elections are coming to a voting booth near you and they are coming soon.

2012 elections are perhaps the most important in all our history. Barack Obama and his Democrat lawmakers have led us to the brink of total economic collapse. They must all go, or American freedom will be forever lost.

“But a Constitution of Government once changed from Freedom, can never be restored. Liberty, once lost, is lost forever.”

Lessons From Argentina’s History to Avoid Economic Collapse

Updated: 9 November 2012

U.S. national debt now exceeds gross domestic product (GDP). We have accrued more national debt since Obama came into the presidency than the sum of all previous administrations from George Washington to the latter George Bush. What is our future, if all things continue as they are? Let’s look to Argentina’s modern history for a lesson on the consequences of fascism.

We’ve seen QE-1 and QRE-2 fail. QE-3 will also fail and perhaps push us over that “massive fiscal cliff” mentioned by Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke, speaking before Congress.

This is my latest video, produced from material provided by others. I invite your comments.

How great is our national debt? Our minds have a difficult time understanding abstract numbers. Isn’t this true? We have experience with time, so I relate dollars to seconds of time: $1:1 sec of time, $1,000,000:11.57 days of time.

A trillion dollars is much more than you imagined, isn’t it?

Why No Jobs? We’re ‘Turning Gold Into Dirt’

Here’s the deal: You’re going to start a business or expand the one you’ve got now. It doesn’t matter what business you’re in – as long as it’s legal.

But, I can’t give you any capital – you have to come up with that on your own.

I won’t give you any labor – that’s definitely up to you. And when you hire employees, I’ll punish you for doing so with a payroll tax and I’ll force you to buy health insurance, according to my specifications, whether you want it or not.

What I will do, however, is demand you follow all sorts of rules about what products and services you can offer, how much (and how often) you pay your employees, and where you’re allowed to operate your business.

That’s my role in the affair: to tell you what to do.”

The Government

The above is an abstract from a Chuck Missler video titled: Why There Are No Jobs In America

What the government wants to punish, it taxes.

  • It’s wrong, in the eyes of government, to be successful, unless you’re an employee of the government or an elected Democrat. The more you make, the more the government confiscates.
  • It’s wrong, in the eyes of government, to hire employees. Not only does the government confiscate employee earnings before the employee sees them, the government also taxes employers for hiring employees.
  • It’s wrong, in the eyes of the government, to build capital essential to growing your business. In the eyes of the government, your money isn’t your property – it’s property of the government.

Manufacturing and services leave behind trash, cuttings, scraps and left-over materials. But, the government, particularly the EPA, will confiscate hard-earned capital if they find anything left behind.

The Bible says, “Where no oxen are, the crib is clean: but much increase is by the strength of the ox.” – Proverbs 14:4

This proverb basically says, “When you’re productive, providing products and services, there will be trash, cuttings, scraps and left-over materials. But, out of all that stuff left behind, wealth increases.”

Onerous government regulations are the chief reason there are fewer and fewer jobs in America.

The progressives in charge of the Fed attempt to “stimulate the economy” by manipulating currency. Manipulating currency can create altered states of reality, but only for a very short time. Ultimately, as Lea Iacocca said, “Someone has to make something.”

“Rome lived upon its principal till ruin stared it in the face. Industry is the only true source of wealth, and there was no industry in Rome. By day the Ostia road was crowded with carts and muleteers, carrying to the great city the silks and spices of the East, the marble of Asia Minor, the timber of the Atlas, the grain of Africa and Egypt; and the carts brought nothing out but loads of dung. That was their return cargo. “London turns dirt into gold. Rome turned gold into dirt.””

Article: Rockwall Fire Department able to respond despite lack of paid fighters

After former Austin Fire Department Captain Mike Allbritant move to our extraordinary city, he appointed himself “Chief Inspector”. It was in this independent role Mr. Allbritant “investigated” our quasi-volunteer fire department. And what was his conclusion? We are all in danger!

Before you get your dander up, let’s consider the source: a career fireman moves from the People’s Republic of Austin, a highly dysfunctional city, to Rockwall, a highly functional city, and sets out to refashion our equally highly successful fire department after the Austin model.

Well, let’s compare the two fire departments, using 2011 statistics.

Structure Fires

Population numbers from U.S. Census Bureau for end of 2010, going into 2011.

A little quick math and we see the two cities come close in structure fires per capita. But, there the similarities end.

You will note that 3 Austin residents perished in structure fires, but zero, none, nada in Rockwall.

Next, we see that 56 persons suffered injuries from structure fires in Austin, but, once again, zero, none, nada in Rockwall.

Mr. Allbritant, we welcome folks to live with us in Rockwall. We believe we have just about the best of what Texas has to offer. We readily accept newcomers form Austin and California, but we ask you to leave your liberal, progressive ideas behind and learn how we are able without all that stuff you are accustomed to.

When it comes to modeling city government, I suggest Texans look to Rockwall, first.

I personally salute our Rockwall Fire Chief Mark Poindexter who

leads and manages an excellent quasi-volunteer fire department while keeping taxes low. Thanks, Mark, for a job well done.

Watchman – What of the Night? Remember in November

July 27, 2012

Perhaps by now you heard how Jay Carney REFUSED to identify the capital of Israel yesterday (July 26) in a press conference. His vague answer was “I haven’t had that question in a while. Our position hasn’t changed.

When the White House Press Corps pushes him for answer, he dismisses the question and wants to go on.

For the record: Jerusalem is, and has been, the capital city of Israel for many centuries. In fact, Jerusalem was capital of Israel before the advent of Jesus Christ. It was there centuries before Muhammad invented his new religion of Islam down in Arabia.

Should we be surprised? No, Obama is a Muslim by his own words. He regularly consults with representatives of the Muslim Brotherhood and Hillary Clinton has on her staff a woman linked to the Muslim Brotherhood.

Islam is making inroads through the social tool of political correctness and deploying Islamic “Trojan Horses” within our government.

If you never hear this from any other, hear it now. Islam is actually not a religion, but a government. It’s a demonic government whose ultimate goal is eradication of all Judeo-Christian faiths and heritage. Islamists use democratic processes to take over a nation, thereafter enact laws favorable toward Islam, unfavorable toward Christianity and Judaism.

This 2012 general election is the singular, most important election in the history of our nation. If the Muslim wins re-election, our natural rights, as expressed in our founding documents, will be forever lost.

Educate yourself. Participate in political campaigns and debates. Register to vote and VOTE! Vote as though your life depends on it, because it does.

At the close of the 1787 Constitutional Convention, Benjamin Franklin was asked, “Well, Doctor, what have we got—a Republic or a Monarchy?”

Franklin replied, “A Republic, if you can keep it.”

Personal to Diane Feinstein – It’s a Right to Life Issue

Feinstein advocates for disarming Americans
Does it work for Mexico?

Personal to Sen. Diane Feinstein and her fellow Democrat radicals that ignore our Constitution and our Declaration of independence.

Here is the text of the Second Amendment:

“A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”

From Webster’s Dictionary a definition of infringe: ” to encroach upon in a way that violates law or the rights of another”

Webster has this to say about “encroach upon“: “gradually intrude on (a person’s territory, rights, etc.).”

I know you can read, but do you genuinely understand what I have written?

Since you hold no regard for life, this I know because of your pro-abortion stance, you no doubt hold inalienable natural rights, God-given rights, to self-defense in low esteem. The Second Amendment has nothing to do with hunting and everything to do with preservation of life – self defense.

The past few years since 911 have witnessed massive loss of personal freedom and a massive growth in federal government. If we don’t arrest the erosion of liberty, we’ll be relegated to the dust bin of history as a once great nation that went astray from its foundation.

From Wallbuilders Website:

Federal law establishes September 17 (the day the Constitution was signed in 1787) as Constitution Day, requiring that on that day every school receiving federal funding spend time studying the Constitution. Despite the law, a recent survey

Congressman Mike Conaway (R-TX)
11th Congressional District

found that the majority of high school students had never heard of Constitution Day, and only ten percent could recall any such school celebration the prior year. 16

However, Congressman Conaway believed that not just school students but also Members of Congress and their staff should also study the Constitution on that day, so he introduced a congressional resolution to that effect. When the a committee chairman heard the resolution, he told Mike, “That’s the stupidest idea I’ve ever heard!” – an attitude far too common among many in Congress.

Nonetheless, Mike (and many other Congressmen like him) continues to study the Constitution regularly. In fact, Mike always carries a pocket Constitution with him and each time he reads through it, he writes the date on the flyleaf of the booklet – a practice he began even before he became a Member of Congress.
