Where I was born and raised, Palacios, Texas, “Mary Jane” (marijuana) use was
somewhat limited to musicians like Janis Joplin, strippers like Candy Barr and patrons of cantinas.
I don’t dismiss the possibility one of my Palacios ISD classmates used the stuff, but I never actually knew anyone who did. For the record: no, unlike my president, I have never used marijuana.
Hemp smoking became legal, at least by state standards, in several states. Federal challenges will probably wait for another president to come to office.
The premise for legalizing marijuana: “It’s way lots safer than a lot of things, like alcohol.” or “It doesn’t harm anyone.” “Legalizing marijuana will free up prison space.”
What is the truth?

According to Investors Business Daily, this 1969 tax intended to assure wealthy people paid income tax has expanded to the point millions of taxpayers, individuals earning as little as $33,750 or joint filers earning as little as $45,000, will probably be hit pretty hard.
Back in 2011 tax year, the AMT hit single taxpayers with incomes as low as $48,450 and joint filers making only $74,450.
So who gets hit with this AMT? Can you say, “Just about everyone!”?
Up till this tax year, nominally 4,000,000 taxpayers were affected by AMT. In 2013 28,000,000 households could be hit with this tax and regarding potential income tax returns for those in the $75,000 to $300,000 income bracket, you can say fogeddaboutit!
Again I ask: What is the real alternative? The only sound, logical, sane alternative is to dramatically cut federal spending while simultaneously, dramatically cutting taxes. The value of tax dollars paid into the Treasury is infinitely higher than the value of inflated dollars printed by the BEP so Treasury can buy its own bonds.
Obama said he would work for a balanced budget and “everything is on the table”. Well, to be sure none of his social programs are ‘on the table’. Now, the Chief-Executive-Who-Speaks-From-Both-Sides-of-The-Mouth says no to cutting spending and insists on dramatic tax increases.
I warned the people as best I could, but a majority of voters decided to be willingly ignorant of facts and history. Consequently, their false messiah got re-elected.
They got what they wanted, but they’ll not want what they’re going to get.

CERTIFICATES OF ABSOLUTION (Chapter 7, page 109)
We must first see the world as it is and not as we would like it to be. – Saul Alinsky, Rules for Radicals
“Now we are in a position to admire the political genius of Barack Obama. Actually “genius” is probably too strong a word. I don’t think that Barack Obama is a genius. He is, however, a highly intelligent man, and he is possessed of a certain kind of low cunning that makes him politically formidable. Obama’s skill – that is perhaps a more appropriate term – is to figure out what the American people want to see and hear, and then to give it to them, while doing something entirely different. Obama has also injected fear on the right, and inspired giddy enthusiasm on the left, by playing the “race card” in a way never previously done in American politics. Such techniques not only enabled Obama’s meteoric political rise, they also enabled him to win the presidency. Moreover, they have muted effective criticism and sustained for him a level of political loyalty that would be unthinkable in any other president with a comparable record. If Obama were white, he would have virtually no chance of being re-elected. Yet his success is not due to affirmative action; something else – something more interesting and strange – is going on here.”
Karl Marx referred to the people who will accept promises that are actually never to be fulfilled as the “lumpenproletariat” – the dangerous class. In today’s economy this group includes a broader spectrum of society than when Marx and Engels wrote the Communist Manifesto. Today, these are the homeless, perenially unemployed, “occupy wall street”, large blocs of black and Latino voters. This updated class of people, a majority voting bloc, believes they are entitled to government services: free medical care, free ObamaPhone, low-cost to free housing, etc.
The problem with socialism is that eventually you run out of other people’s money [to spend]. – Margaret Thatcher, Prime Minister of Great Britain
America runs pell-mell toward an unsustainable economic future. Regardless the outcome, the “dangerous class” will blame Republicans, conservatives, Libertarians and TEA Party patriots. Already, liberal media posits budgetary talks in Washington with Barack Obama as the problem solver and decrying House Republicans as the enemy.
Dinesh D’Souza’s extensive research reveals Obama as an ideologue who hates America that he says as a colonial power.

And Jesus answered and said unto them, “Take heed that no man deceive you; for many shall come in My name, saying, ‘I am Christ,’ and shall deceive many. And ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that ye be not troubled, for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
Fastest growing sector of big federal government is welfare expenditures. There are now 80 different programs funded by tax dollars and borrowed money.
According to Heritage, “Today, the food stamps program is one of the largest and the fastest growing of the roughly 80 welfare programs funded by the federal government.” Food Stamp spending has doubled from roughly $39 billion in 2008 to an estimated $85 billion in 2012.
How big is welfare spending? Breitbart’s research tells the story: “The number of individuals on food stamps now exceeds the combined populations of 24 states and the District of Columbia.” Food stamp recipients equal the combined populations of Alaska, Arkansas, Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Hawaii, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Maine, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Utah, Vermont, West Virginia, and Wyoming.
The USDA ‘SUPPLEMENTAL NUTRITION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM’ reports food stamp recipients for this month (November 2012) at 47,102,780 – one in seven Americans. Food Stamp expenditures (officially called Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program or SNAP) are double what they were four years ago.
And then there is the fruad. Electronic Benefit Transfer cards (EBT) are bought and sold openly, easily converting EBT funds into ready cash. What can one do with the cash? How about big-screen TV’s, new appliances or even a car?
Don’t for a moment think there are not genuinely hungry people in your community. Unemployment is still at record high and discouraged workers no longer seek work. This is real.
Back when Bill Clinton was president, a Republican Congress legislsated a work requirement for welfare recipients (Bill took credit for this reform, but he was just the pragmatic Democrat). That work requirement was still in place when Obama took office and with one swift “executive decree”, he eliminated the requirement that welfare recipients seek work. Why? He is creating a greater and growing dependent class that will vote for Democrats. In fact, his Homeland Security Department actuall PROMOTES welfare benefits to newly arrived aliens.
What can you do? Talk to your neighbors and co-workers. Share this information with whomever will listen. Contact your congressional delegation to protest the outrageous growth of wasteful welfare spending.
Unemployed Americans need jobs. Jobs come from a demand for products and services. But, ObamaTaxes, ObamaCare and other socialist measures threaten the livelihood of every living man, woman and child living in this country today.
Is Christiana a meteorologist? No. Is she a distinguished climate scientist? No. Then surely she must be a physicist whose life work in the field of atmospheric studies imminently qualifies her for the position of executive secretary of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). No, she has none of these aforementioned qualifications.
Well, what are her qualifications to support her expertise on all things climatological? According to her on-line bio, “Ms. Figueres has a Masters Degree in Anthropology from the London School of Economics, and a certificate in Organizational Development from Georgetown University.” Ah! She is at least as qualified as our president: She’s a COMMUNITY ORGANIZER! With just a little bit of snark, I also see that she is at least as qualified as the inventor of the internet, Al Gore.
Truth Sets You Free
The answer is John Coleman. The question is, “What prominent meteorolgist founded The Weather Channel”? Hear from a genuine climate expert, a genuine scientist – John Coleman.
Climate Changes – A Natural Cycle
If you reviewed the above video, facts layed out in the video clearly refute anthropogenic (man-caused) global warming.
Your liberty and prosperity are at stake. And, I address this to every living man, woman and child on the face of the earth.
Don’t waste time complaining to the U.N. Each and every program promulgated by leftists like Christiana Figueres and her mentor, Al Gore, serve but one purpose: global one-world government.
You are not helpless. Without respect to your partisan affiliations, Libertarian, Democrat or Republican, you have a voice in these United States of America. Contact your Congressional delegation. Tell them to cut funding to the United Nations and tell them to oppose all U.N. treaties.

“The most forceful advocate of the brewers’ anti-Prohibition campaign was the most accomplished man in the industry, Adolphus Busch. The youngest of twenty-one children of a prosperous Rhineland merchant, Busch immigrated to the United States in 1857, went into the brewery supply business, and in 1861, at twenty-two, married Lilly Anheuser, the daughter of one of his customers. (The familial bond did not lack for further adhesive, as Adolphus’s brother Ulrich married Lilly’s sister Anna.) Adolphus soon took over the management of his father-in-law’s company and in time appended his surname to it.
“Busch was a genuine visionary. Where others saw brewing as a fairly straight- forward enterprise, he saw it as the core of a vertically integrated series of businesses. He built glass factories and ice plants. He acquired railway companies to ferry coal from mines he owned in Illinois to the vast Anheuser-Busch factory complex sprawled across seventy acres of St. Louis riverfront. (A local joke: St. Louis was ‘a large city on the [banks of the] Mississippi, located near the Anheuser-Busch plant.’) Busch got into the business of manufacturing refrigerated rail cars and truck bodies that could be used not just by breweries but also by such substantial customers as the Armour meatpacking company. He paid one million dollars for exclusive U.S. rights to a novel engine technology developed by his countryman Rudolf Diesel, and for $30,000 purchased the painting of Custer’s Last Stand that, with the Anheuser-Busch logotype prominently appended, would soon grace the walls of thousands upon thousands of saloons. In 1875 Busch produced thirty-five thousand barrels of beer; by 1901, his annual output — primarily of a light lager named for the Bohemian town of Budweis — surpassed a million barrels. …
“Adolphus had a potent personal aura. He spoke five languages, built palaces for himself and his wife in St. Louis, Pasadena, Cooperstown, and Wiesbaden, and traveled in a style appropriate for the monarch he was. Whenever Adolphus and Lilly returned from a trip to their home at Number One Busch Place (situated right on company property in St. Louis), brewery employees fired a cannon. Coupled with his company’s preeminence in the industry, his grand manner enabled him to dominate industry councils. This became especially clear in 1903, when he helped craft an agreement, eventually signed by nine breweries, to fund a committee ‘promoting anti-prohibition matters in Texas,’ one of Anheuser-Busch’s largest markets.
“When some brewers expressed an unwillingness to continue underwriting the committee’s activities, Busch argued, ‘It may cost us millions and even more,’ he wrote, ‘but what of it if thereby we elevate our position?’ He concluded his appeal by offering another $100,000 of Anheuser-Busch support for the Texas campaign, money that would help fund such ‘anti-prohibition matters’ as paying the poll taxes of blacks and Mexican-Americans who were expected to vote for legal beer, purchasing the editorial support of newspapers (according to an internal report, ‘We have sent checks in advance, and the average country editor, struggling to make a living, hates to return checks’), and engaging in some rather more mysterious activities. In 1910, after the brewers’ political agent in east-central Texas was able to undo a dry victory in Robertson County, he explained that he had engineered the reversal through means that ‘are best not written about.’
“Busch’s motives went beyond the merely pecuniary: ‘Besides losing our business by state-wide prohibition,’ he wrote during the Texas battle, ‘we would lose our honor and standing of ourselves and our families, and rather than lose that, we should risk the majority of our fortunes.’ It was the sort of call to arms that inspired both employees and competitors, and that led to something of a national festival in 1911, when Adolphus and Lilly’s golden anniversary was marked by celebrations in thirty-five cities. A similar nationwide outpouring of respect and love from the brewing industry occurred two years later, when Adolphus Busch died, at the age of seventy-four, from cirrhosis of the liver.”
