How many pundits speak or write about how the Republicans lost on November 6? I lose count, too. Let’s shift our focus to the winners, those who got what they wanted. Notice the tense. Which populations segment or political entity gained the most? Labor unions are the big winners. Although labor unions represent only a meager 11.9% of the workforce, the lowest percentage in 70 years, unions invested millions of dollars to re-elect Obama and Democrat senators.
If the above is true, why would unions spend so heavily while recruiting “allies” to help them? A little known fact about labor, little known to Mr. and Mrs. America, is the federal government enforces union wages on all, absolutely all, hourly empolyees working on government contracts. The law is called Davis-Bacon Act.
If the feds can confiscate more private capital for use on so-called “shovel ready” construction projects, the ranks of labor unions grow. Look no farther than the Chevy Volt to see how Obama uses tax dollars to line the pockets of union labor. August was the best sales month for the Volt and most were sold to the federal government.
Debate the morning on MSNBC around the topic of the looming ‘fiscal cliff’ when, lacking action by Congress, taxes skyrocket while government spending dramatically drops. I don’t like the first, like the second.
“Dirty” Harry Reid, invigorated by his retention of the Senate, stands ready to increase national debt. He publicly stated his eagerness to raise the debt limit to $18.794 trillion.
We have come to a point where half of all households depend on the federal treasury for financial support of one kind or another. Obama lied about this during debates, but simple research reported by numerous columnists concede Romney was correct. [WAPO: Who receives government benefits, in six charts]
Taxpayers, investors, capitalists are front-line losers. In the end, it will be each and every citizen who loses.
Who are the guessers? We all are guessers. No one can say “I told you so” until mid year 2013. Meanwhile, I listen to market, economics and financial analysts among whom the common idea is uncertainty. Personally, I think I am less uncertain of the outcome than so many others. For example, this morning I listened to a major venture capitalist asking about Obama’s direction. Will he (Obama) continue on a path of remaking American society or reinvigorating the economy. I confidently predict he will do the first, saying he isn’t, while promising the second and not doing it.
…in the big lie there is always a certain force of credibility; because the broad masses of a nation are always more easily corrupted in the deeper strata of their emotional nature than consciously or voluntarily; and thus in the primitive simplicity of their minds they more readily fall victims to the big lie than the small lie, since they themselves often tell small lies in little matters but would be ashamed to resort to large-scale falsehoods. It would never come into their heads to fabricate colossal untruths, and they would not believe that others could have the impudence to distort the truth so infamously. Even though the facts which prove this to be so may be brought clearly to their minds, they will still doubt and waver and will continue to think that there may be some other explanation. For the grossly impudent lie always leaves traces behind it, even after it has been nailed down, a fact which is known to all expert liars in this world and to all who conspire together in the art of lying.
Our president was born to communist parents, had a communist stepfather, was mentored by communist Frank Marshall Davis and closely associated with convicted domestic terrorists Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dorhn. As president, Obama app0inted a extraordinary cast of ‘Czars’ to create policies across the entire spectrum of federal government. Russian dictator-in-waiting Putin endorsed him. What’s that saying? If it walks like a duck, talks like a duck, it’s a duck.
I expect Obama to continue his transformation of American society. This entails enforcing teaching our children that homosexuality is normal. He will do all he can to prevent development of domestic oil and gas production.
Latinos (aka Hispanics), black Americans, women, children, Christians, Jews, freedom lovers, investors, retirees – you name it. We’re all losers in the 2012 general elections.
