CERTIFICATES OF ABSOLUTION (Chapter 7, page 109)
We must first see the world as it is and not as we would like it to be. – Saul Alinsky, Rules for Radicals
“Now we are in a position to admire the political genius of Barack Obama. Actually “genius” is probably too strong a word. I don’t think that Barack Obama is a genius. He is, however, a highly intelligent man, and he is possessed of a certain kind of low cunning that makes him politically formidable. Obama’s skill – that is perhaps a more appropriate term – is to figure out what the American people want to see and hear, and then to give it to them, while doing something entirely different. Obama has also injected fear on the right, and inspired giddy enthusiasm on the left, by playing the “race card” in a way never previously done in American politics. Such techniques not only enabled Obama’s meteoric political rise, they also enabled him to win the presidency. Moreover, they have muted effective criticism and sustained for him a level of political loyalty that would be unthinkable in any other president with a comparable record. If Obama were white, he would have virtually no chance of being re-elected. Yet his success is not due to affirmative action; something else – something more interesting and strange – is going on here.”
Karl Marx referred to the people who will accept promises that are actually never to be fulfilled as the “lumpenproletariat” – the dangerous class. In today’s economy this group includes a broader spectrum of society than when Marx and Engels wrote the Communist Manifesto. Today, these are the homeless, perenially unemployed, “occupy wall street”, large blocs of black and Latino voters. This updated class of people, a majority voting bloc, believes they are entitled to government services: free medical care, free ObamaPhone, low-cost to free housing, etc.
The problem with socialism is that eventually you run out of other people’s money [to spend]. – Margaret Thatcher, Prime Minister of Great Britain
America runs pell-mell toward an unsustainable economic future. Regardless the outcome, the “dangerous class” will blame Republicans, conservatives, Libertarians and TEA Party patriots. Already, liberal media posits budgetary talks in Washington with Barack Obama as the problem solver and decrying House Republicans as the enemy.
Dinesh D’Souza’s extensive research reveals Obama as an ideologue who hates America that he says as a colonial power.
