  • a modified 12 gauge Mossberg 500 shotgun (‘modified’ sounds ominous
  • nine high-capacity rifle magazines (competition, Dick Gregory)
  • Hexamethylene triperoxide diamine (HMTD) – high explosive organic compound
  • a stack of papers titled “The Terrorist Encyclopedia’’ (was he a Bill Ayers disciple, too?)
  • instructions for creating homemade booby traps
  • improvised submachine guns
  • various handwritten notebooks containing chemical formulas

Was this an East Texas “prepper”? – No. Was he, perhaps, a card-carrying member of the NRA? No, not that either. Surely he’s a “TEA Partier”, right? Wrong, again. Are you ready for this?

The fellow, the alleged domestic terrorist-in-waiting is an OWS (Occupy Wall Street) minion and his wife is the daughter of a prominent Park Avenue  family. His girlfriend, by the way, is a fellow alumni of Harvard University, a breading ground of un-American thought.

Where was this den of domestic terrorism found? Not in my neighborhood, that’s for sure. It was found in a quaint little Greenwich Village apartment.

You see, domestic terrorism comes not from honest, hard-working, freedom-loving American patriots. Domestic terrorism has its roots in academia, among pseudo-intellectuals who wish to fundamentally transform the United States of America. Whoops! Have I heard that before? Oh, yeah: You-Know-Who says the same thing.

All up to Obama? Are you people in Washington so dimwitted you can’t understand he has you right where he wants you?

All this clamor for Obama to lead. He is leading – leading into an abyss of red ink from which we may never recover. He’s leading us into a defenseless situation whereby we are now at the mercy of rogue nations like North Korea and Russia.

We don’t need more leadership from him. We need NON-partisan leadership in the House of Representatives and the Senate.

According to the Constitution, spending bills ORIGINATE in the House, not the White House.

Don’t just say ‘no’ to more spending – Say ‘Hell no!’ to more spending.

England grabbed its citizens’ guns in 1997. Crime skyrocketed as the law-abiding were disarmed. The English citizens have a message for Americans.

The Bill of Rights do not confer rights on our people. All inalienable rights come from God. Government can grant privileges, but, under no circumstances can government infringe on our rights. This is the meaning of those priceless claims stated in our Declaration of Independence.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.–That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, –That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.

The role of government is to “secure these rights”. When government becomes destructive of its proper role, it is our right and our duty to abolish it or change it.

Michael Moore – Bowling for Bozos

Filmmaker Michael Moore – remember him? Yeah, he’s the slob who hates America and lauds the Cuban medical care system over our American systems.

You may also know him as the slob whose specious plea, “calm down, white people, and put away your guns” made headlines across most of the country. He wholly opposes your ownership of guns. After all, he reasons, why would you need an AR-15 to hunt deer? Yes, he’s a Hollywood insider liberal who wants all guns confiscated – except guns that are ‘necessary’ for the protection of his elite circle of friends.

Back in 2005 his body guard was arrested at New York’s JFK airport for possession of an unlicensed, unlawful concealed handgun.

Moore’s film “Bowling for Columbine” attacked what Moore calls America’s “culture of fear” and its obsession with guns.

That’s right, the same liberal bunch of Hollywood fruitcakes who deny our natural right to self-defense practice armed self-defense. Among this set of elitist is New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg.

God give us our rights and only God can bestow them on us. Government grants privileges, calling them rights, but they are nothing more than privileges and what government gives, government takes away.

Everyone has seen and remembers this famous painting by  German American artist Emanuel Gottlieb Leutze of General George Washington crossing the Delaware River to defeat the Hessian forces of Gen. Johann Rall. Do you know this took place Christmas night, 1776? Furthermore, do you know Washington and the men he commanded were British citizens? Yes, George Washington was a British citizen who, as a British general, bravely and successfully fought in the French and Indian War for his country.

From the moment the war began in April of 1775 when the British government attempted to disarm the colonists, our forebears in Concord, Massachussetts, until the Treaty of Paris in 1783 ended it – the American colonists were legally and factually British citizens.

We won indpendence from our British masters through armed insurrection – armed rebellion against tyrannical government. This rebellion wasn’t the product of light and transient emotions over taxes. Seventeen grievances are listed on the Declaration of Independence and taxes fall way down the list. Corruption, coercion and oppression lead the tax grievance.

A new move is afoot in America and this president has an agenda to fundamentally transform our nation. Christian author Dinesh D’Souza describes him as an “anti-colonialist” who sees America as an “evil empire” that must be disarmed. Facts confirm the author’s observations.

Our God-given natural rights are in peril. This president, through dictatorial decress (Executive Orders), a Democrat Senate majority and onerous regulations by federal agencies under his power, is on a path to annul each and all of the Bill of Rights. Therefore, I think it important to revisit from whence come our rights.

The duty, the purpose of government is to secure these rights. Webster’s –  ‘to relieve from exposure to danger : act to make safe against adverse contingencies’; ‘to put beyond hazard of losing or of not receiving’

The Bill of Rights, the first ten amendments to the Constitution, were not added to create or provide rights, but to reaffirm the duty of federal government to secure them.

 


Amendment I

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.


Amendment II

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.


Amendment III

No Soldier shall, in time of peace be quartered in any house, without the consent of the Owner, nor in time of war, but in a manner to be prescribed by law.


Amendment IV

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.


Amendment V

Amendment VI

In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the State and district wherein the crime shall have been committed, which district shall have been previously ascertained by law, and to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation; to be confronted with the witnesses against him; to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor, and to have the Assistance of Counsel for his defence.


Amendment VII

In Suits at common law, where the value in controversy shall exceed twenty dollars, the right of trial by jury shall be preserved, and no fact tried by a jury, shall be otherwise re-examined in any Court of the United States, than according to the rules of the common law.


Amendment VIII

Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted.


Amendment IX

The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.


Amendment X

The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

No Natural Rights for No-Names?

In 1971, Attorney Sarah Weddington argued before the U.S. Supreme Court for plaintif  “Jane Roe” in the infamous Roe v. Wade case. Sarah was an ambitious, bright 26 year old attorney who continues to boast of her “success” that she says, “I was very concious of how the fate of many women, for many years, would be resting, in part, on my arguments.” Listen to her complete story (3:34 min) via AOL video link below.

Sarah feels good about her accomplishment. But, what’s the rest of the story?

I was sitting in O.R.’s offices when I noticed a fetal development poster. The progression was so obvious, the eyes were so sweet. It hurt my heart, just looking at them. I genuinely appreciate Sarah’s concern for pregnant women facing hardship.  Back in the 70’s we knew plaintif’s pseudonym, ‘Jane Roe’, and later her real name, Norma.

The child Norma carried during this trial was her third who was not aborted and was adopted out. All three of her children have names.

Norma became a Christian through the ministry of Operation Rescue leader Flip Benham.

A credible estimate of unborn children lawfully aborted since that infamous 7-2 decision is 55,581,615. Why are these unfortunate, innocent children buried in the news of the day, while the slaughter of 20 innocents in Newtown, CT continue to headline news stories? How are the 55+ million different from the 20? Answer: The Newtown 20 had names.

On ocassion of Christmas 2012,  I think appropriate mentioning two other unborn children who were named before birth: Jesus Christ and John the Baptist.

The moment you learn of a pregnancy, I encourage you to quickly name the child and speak the name to the unborn’s mother.
