Outrage or Adoration? Pick Your Groundswell

5 August 2013Choose-Wisely

The ACLU’s email today speaks of their outrage that women in the Peace Corps “are denied access to abortion coverage-even in cases of rape, incest or life endangerment“.

I can’t speak for how often a Peace Corps woman, far from the USA, becomes a victim of incest, so I leave that to your imagination.

I find it amazing how liberals see a helpless, unborn human as a disease to be cured, as a cancer or or a wart to be cut away. To the best of my knowledge, the CDC has never classified conception and human gestation – pregnancy – a disease. Pregnancy is a normal biological process by which everyone you know and every person you see comes into this life with a name, fingernails and a healthy appetite.

The ACLU says it want to create a “groundswell” of equally outraged (atheists, implied) to protest against the Peace Corps.

President Ronald Reagan famously and wisely once said,

“I’ve noticed that everyone who is for abortion has already been born.”

For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.

Psalm 139:13-14 NIV

Time has come for a very different groundswell – a groundswell of praise and adoration for the King of Kings, the Lord of Lords. Time has come for nationwide repentance and cries for divine mercy.

If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people;

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:13-14 KJV
