T he “ticket” to participate in the precinct convention is to be a registered voter  and to have voted in the primary.

Your precinct convention is where the convention process begins. You can’t become a delegate or alternate to the state convention, if you do not attend your precinct convention.

The precinct convention is the “carpenter shop” where proposed “planks” in our national party are introduced. The county convention votes on proposed “planks” that will go forward to the state convention. Adopted state convention “planks” then go to the national convention.

First step is to know your precinct chair. To know the chair, you must know your precinct.

NOW is the time to learn the name of your precinct chair. Use this link to find your precinct: http://rockwall-tx.connect4.clarityelections.com/voter-information/precinct-finder/#Search

Next, get current election information specific to your precinct, as well as state and national elections via this link: http://rockwall-tx.connect4.clarityelections.com/voter-information/current-election-info/

Please share this  with others. The Republican platform isn’t the product of secret meetings in smoke-filled back rooms; it is the product of citizens like you who participate in the convention process.

Let’s Play the New GOP Game – Make Boehner a Begone-er!

February 5, 2014

Boehner Too Cozy With the Left
Boehner Too Cozy With the Left

Honorable Ralph M. Hall
2405 Rayburn H.O.B.
Washington, DC 20515-0001

Subject: Misconduct of Speaker John Boehner

Congressman, a significant majority of voters throughout the country oppose this ‘amnesty’ plan advanced by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce through Speaker John Boehner.

Are there aspects of needed immigration reform needed to restore good order in our society? Yes, but a proposed amnesty isn’t the way to restore it.

I know you know how lobby money flows through the Speaker out to compliant House members. But, I remind you it isn’t the lobbyists that elect those members. It is We the People who cast all the votes.

Amnesty, solely to satisfy major employers eager to acquire cheap labor, will divide our Republican Party.

I call on you to confer with colleagues on the matter of a suitable replacement for Mr. Boehner. We want someone who will stand for the Rule of Law and do so firmly on the platform of the Republican Party.

Thank you,

What If the Border Fence Can’t Work?

Saturday morning, February 1, 2014

“You show me a 50-foot wall and I’ll show you a 51-foot ladder at the border. That’s the way the border works.” - Janet Napolitano, July 2011
“You show me a 50-foot wall and I’ll show you a 51-foot ladder at the border. That’s the way the border works.” – Janet Napolitano, July 2011

The humane solution is to roll back onerous policies to the way things were through the 50’s and 60’s when it was simple and economical for Mexican citizens to traverse our border either to shop along the Rio Grande Valley region or as “braceros”, temporary workers.

The only thing with which I agreed with Janet Napolitano was her statement on the fence: “If you build a 50-foot wall and I’ll show you a 51-foot ladder at the border.

We, like Mexico, share a common geographical border and we, like Mexico, have an immigration border 20 miles from the geographical border, except AZ where it’s 65 miles.

Throughout the years of my youth, shoppers freely traversed the geographical border between Mexico and the U.S. without need for “papers, please”, so long as we remained with the 25-mile free market zone, either side.

Our southern border now resembles that shameful Berlin Wall.

The Border Fence divides private property and disrupts a way of life older than our country.
The Border Fence divides private property and disrupts a way of life older than our country.

Our ridiculous, irresponsible, unreasonable immigration policies actually create opportunity for a host of criminal enterprises: drugs, sex trafficking, coyote guides, etc.

Do we need immigration policy reform? Absolutely. But, before we add more unworkable rules, regulations, amnesty, etc., let’s restore our border to the way it was when it worked very, very well and did not disrupt lives on both sides of it.
