Hispanics Are Naturally Republican – Outlook On 2014 General Elections

In an article in the Daily Caller, titledCantor Wants Youth Amnesty Deal With Obama‘, White House correspondent Neil Munro says of The White House’s domestic policy director, Cecilia Munoz, she “was a top leader at the ethnic advocacy group, La Raza.

To be very, very clear, La Raza Unida is not an ‘advocacy group’. It is, or was, a transparently socialist organization founded, in part, by Rosie Castro, mother to twin Democrats JuliánCastro and Joaquin Castro. Furthermore, the goal of La Raza was and is (albeit unspoken) to carve out a separate country from the southwestern U.S. This dystopian independent state would be called Aztlán.

Leaders within the now inactive La Raza Unida organization have changed their goal from forming a separate country, Aztlan, to taking over all of Texas, by “working within the system”.

Saul Alinsky’s bookRules for Radicalssays, “As an organizer I start from where the world is, as it is, not as I would like it to be. That we accept the world as it is does not in any sense weaken our desire to change it into what we believe it should be — it is necessary to begin where the world is if we are going to change it to what we think it should be. That means working in the system.

Principal leaders of the movement were ideologically communists. One actually went to Cuba to sympathize with Fidel Castro in his ‘struggle’ against ‘Yankee imperialism’.

Freedom-loving Americans must never forget the mentors and running mates of Barry Soetoro, aka Barack Hussein Obama. His chief mentor (some say his actual father whom he favors in appearance) was Frank Marshall Davis, an avowed communist. One notable statement by Davis:I made no distinction between those labeled Communist, Socialist or merely liberal.Considering current events and the behavior of Democrat liberals controlling the Senate and White House, I, too, find no differences between communism and liberalism.

Mayor Julian CastroI think it important to speak my opinion of Julián Castro. As a man, I like him. He and I could have a great time over coffee or dinner. He’s bright, intelligent, articulate, knowledgeable and much better looking than I am. I suggest Julián is intellectually superior to any one known within the D.C. Beltway Democrat crowd, including the sitting president, vice president, Senate majority leader and the House minority leader.

Far too many of my fellow Texas Republicans, judging by the grand finale of our Texas State GOP Convention on the 7th of June, grossly underestimate and/or misunderstand, the broad Texas Hispanic population.

Food for thought: Official Texas state government website forecasts Hispanic majority by 2020. Do we want Hispanic Democrat government or Hispanic Republican government.

By 2020, the Texas Hispanic population is expected to outnumber the White population. Between 2000 and 2040 the Hispanic population will triple in Texas’ urban areas, from 5.9 million to 17.2 million. In rural areas, the Hispanic population is expected to double, from 777,000 to 1.6 million. [ Source: Window on State Government ]

I saw one major weakness in the proposedTexas Solution” – the language requirement. Otherwise, I was ready to see it adopted. But, along come the anti-Hispanic group that seem to have taken lessons from Saul Alinsky. They were loud, organized and successfully won the crowd over with their argument against perceived ‘amnesty’; there was no amnesty in the Texas Solution, just practical means to incorporation of undocumented Hispanics.

The “No Amnesty” crowd did great harm to our party. I know there are reasonable people who read this that think I am angry or upset over their consent to defeat the Texas Solution. Nothing could be farther from the truth.

I don’t know everything, but I do know somethings well. For Texas Solution logoexample, I know that defeat of the Texas Solution is taken as an assault on legitimate Hispanic citizens and legal residents. Ah! Just what the Democrats wanted!

Between now and election day, I and others will be travelling our state senate district and our congressional district to better inform Republican leaders.

I encourage my Hispanic friends to take no offense. Offenses build real fences. We don’t need them. We need windows of opportunity to heal our nation.

The new socialist radicals like Obama and Julian Castro are working within the system. We Republicans should at least match them in this way.

PS: Julián Castro would make a terrific Republican.

God bless Texas and God bless the U.S.A.

  1. Excellent column, thank you for posting. As a side note, I think one of the reasons the Castro brothers resonate with Democrats is the fact that they are young and idealistic. Think about it – there aren’t many young Hispanic males in Democratic leadership positions. The young Hispanic leaders – Cruz, Villaba, etc., are largely Republican, yet that is never trumpeted. The GOP seems deathly afraid of promoting this fact to Hispanics, sadly.
