‘Green Energy’ – Not for the Birds

19 August 2014 AD

Warning! Warning! Warning!

Global warming alarmists have been beating their end-of-the-world-as-we-know-it drums for several years now. Even as real science disproves their theory of anthropogenic atmospheric anomalies, instead of changing their minds, they change the name of their theory from ‘global warming’ to ‘climate change’.

Scientific Fact #1: Man Little – Sun Big

Statisticians say the average man has a mass of 70 kg, approximately 154.3 lbs. According to the World Population Clock, today there are approximately 7,254,814,816 living persons on terra firma. Therefore:

There are 7,254,814,816 X 154.3 = 1.119417926 X 1012 lbs. of people

This translates to approximately 5.078370371 X 1011 kg

The Earth’s mass is 5.9736 x 1024 kg.

Dividing the mass of all people by the mass of the earth calculates thus:

5.078370371 X 1011/ 5.9736 x 1024 = 8.50 X 10-14%

Conclusion: the mass of people is inconsequential to the mass of the entire earth.

How does the mass of the earth compare to our sun?

Onee sun is equivalent to 1,300,000 earths. I leave calculation of the kilograms to the reader.

The point of these mathematical gymnastics is to demonstrate the utter insignificance of mankind, mass wise, to the sun. I hasten to point our collective mass is utterly insignificant to the mass of the earth.

Conclusion: the sun determines our weather, not coal-fired power plants.

Renewable? Have You Asked the Birds About This?

‘Streamers’ is the name given to feathered flambeau that fall from the sky immediately upon entering airspace above an enormous solar reflector array near Primm, Nevada.

According to Yahoo! News, “over 300,000 mirrors .. focus sunlight on boilers’ tubes atop 450 foot towers heating water into steam which in turn drives turbines to create electricity.

Yes, this marvelous “renewable energy” plant heats water into steam and it does something else: it makes fricassée of birds who fly over it.

One fricassée feathered friend becomes sacrifice for the liberals’ sun god every two minutes.

But Wait! There’s More

As reported in the Smithsonian Magazine online, “somewhere between 140,000 and 328,000 birds die each year from collisions with wind turbines.

Killing Wildlife: It’s Not Nice to Fool with Mother Nature

In case you missed a lesson in high school or college, birds eat insects. Need I say more? No? Good.

Lying under our feet are abundant and inexpensive fuel stocks in the forms of natural gas, oil and coal. We are awash in the stuff.

Now for the coup de grâce: Energy Density and portability.

Oil, gas and coal have energy density. They work equally well in darkness or sunlight, on windy days and still. We have discovered we can’t seem to mount a windmill atop our cars. Solar power? Well, there are experimental solar-powered cars raced annually by college students, but they aren’t particularly useful to a family of four. Or, even a single woman. Or man.

Real science reveals all the phony science that led us down this worthless ‘renewable’ path.

This sitting president has been playing in the sandlot of ‘crony capitalism’ whereby he funds worthless ‘renewable energy’ companies like Solyndra whose owners in turn contribute tens of millions of our tax dollars to Democrat political campaigns. If your looking for a word to describe his activities, I suggest CORRUPTION.
