Speaking one’s mind is one thing. Threatening the lives of persons, is a crime.

Terroristic Threats – Not a good thing

Chicago: Aries Woodfin was arrested after posting threats to “kill cops and innocent white kids”. The Blaze reports alleged postings of photographs of white children on his Facebook page.

Aries Woodfin

His close friend Beatrice Franklin defended Aries, saying “he was just speaking his mind“. Yes, Beatrice, that’s why your friend was arrested. Terroristic threats are criminal offenses in every state of the union.

Where do we go from here? Do we dig trenches and start a mini version of World War Three on America’s streets? No, say I. Doing so simply moves us in the direction of the fascists who thrive on chaos. Don’t you remember those infamous words of Rahm Emanuel who said, “Never let a good crisis go to waste“?

Some call subversive actions by racists a function of the Cloward-Piven strategy. Perhaps. I simplify. What’s happening is racial division unseen since the 1950’s and 1960’s during the Civil Rights Movement when Democrats, people we now call liberal progressives, strived to keep America divided. E Pluribus Unum was not their slogan.

What then shall we do?

First of all, don’t lose control of yourself when angered. God created anger to motivate us to action, positive action, not revenge. God reserves all vengeance to himself.

Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem and for the Peace of America. Not one or the other. Both.

Don’t take offense over anything. I say this after having words with an ignorant motorist at our busy post office this afternoon. I repent. Let’s plan our responses in advance. As it is written, “But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect” – 1 Peter 3:15

Happy New Year, America.
