In his interesting mind, President Obama sets all religions on an equal footing. Are they all the same?
Every hour of the day atheists and unbelievers assail the name of Jesus Christ, the Name above all Names. One artist was paid handsomely for his “art”, a crucifix in a jar of urine. No, we didn’t burn down art galleries or commit mass murder. We who bear the image of Jesus Christ count it all joy, when we are persecuted, reviled and cursed. Jesus said to us, “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.”
We who have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ recognize that all persecution and name calling against us validates to others this personal relationship. Jesus isn’t harmed by those who curse him. The persons who curse harm themselves.
With Islam, it’s somewhat different. Their false prophet isn’t capable of enduring criticism, apparently. So it is, the followers of Muhammad feel compelled to come to his defense, thereby signifying they agree he is vulnerable and incapable of defending himself.
Horrific butchery by Muslims in Paris brought to mind another time, another place. The situation was a confrontation between the prophet Elijah and the false prophets of Baal. You can read the story from the Old Testament, 1 Kings 18:16-40 [link to scripture: https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/… ]
Reading the above Bible story reminds me of the butchery, brutality and terror wrought by so-called “radical Muslims”. They aren’t radical. They’re just following orders.
The Living God doesn’t require of His children the slaughter of Muslims in His defense. Instead, God is showing Himself merciful to those who curse Him. Curse Him? Yes, you see, as Jesus explains in John 17:19-21, we believers have living within us the Spirit of the Living God, El-Shaddai. When Muslims curse us, they are cursing our Heavenly Father. Does our Heavenly Father then instruct us to gun them down, chop off their heads and violate their women? Heavens, no! Instead, he instructs us to love them, to pray for them and to bless them.
On April 6, 2009 in Turkey, President Obama said “one of the great strengths of the United States is — although as I mentioned, we have a very large Christian population, we do not consider ourselves a Christian nation or a Jewish nation or a Muslim nation; we consider ourselves a nation of citizens who are bound by ideals and a set of values.” [ABC News, Huma Kahn, 7/4/2009]
Yes, there is a difference, Mr. Barack Obama. We Christians and Jews are “bound by ideals and a set of values” very different from those of your Muslim friends.

Bill Maher: Hundreds of Millions of Muslims Support Attack on ‘Charlie Hebdo’

I do not like Bill but I support him on this.
We’ll see a coalescence of public opinion akin to that at after the attack on Pearl Harbor. Anti-immigrant sentiments will sharply rise and we’ll see a merge of left and right thinking public people.
