Before the Supreme Court now: King v. Burwell – At issue: Relevant statutory text confines ObamaCare subsidies to health insurance purchased on exchanges “established by the state.” The Obama administration elected to ignore the law and provide subsidies contrary to the Affordable Care Act (aka ObamaCare).

Progressive justices on the left see themselves as lawmakers, contrary to the Constitution, Article I, Section 1,
“All legislative Powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States, which shall consist of a Senate and House of Representatives.”
and the 30 enumerated powers given to federal government by the states that retain authority over all other matters, as so stated in Amendment X.
“The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.”

Justice Antonin Scalia suggests Congressional Conservatives “move quickly to eliminate parts of Obamacare after the Court issues a decision in a case being heard this month, causing some to hope that the decision might end up dealing a blow to the president’s take over of the nation’s health care system.” [Breitbart]

Meanwhile, we out here in the real world, those of us who trust in our Creator and Redeemer, must obey God in this matter to “pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. 2Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity.” [1 Timothy 2 NLT]
May God have mercy on us.
