President Obama Violates ACA – Open Letter to Texas Delegation CD-4

22 July 2015 AD
6 Av 5775

An open letter to:
Senator John Cornyn
Senator Ted Cruz
Representative John Ratcliffe

Subject: Unlawful questioning of Medicare Patients

Gentlemen:

While undergoing physical examinations, Medicare-covered patients are asked about guns and ammunition within their homes.

I refer you to the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (aka ObamaCare), Section 2716, page 767 which clearly and unmistakably prohibits medical professionals from querying patients on ownership or possession of guns and ammunition.

The above text was added at the behest of the National Rifle Association of which I am a member and it is consistent with the Second Amendment to our Constitution which states:

There are now news reports revealing how this administration strategically moves to deprive millions of Americans of their Second Amendment Right to Self-Defense, as reported in the LA Times in an article authored by Joshua Axelrod dated July 21, 2015 and titled “Second Amendment group rips Obama’s latest plan to limit gun rights”.

I also refer you to a Chicago Tribune article of July 18, 2015, by Alan Zarembo, titled “Obama pushes to extend gun background checks to Social Security”.

I remind the Texas Congressional Delegation that the Second Amendment was not added to protect tyrannical government from the people, but for the protection of the people from tyrannical government.

Apparently, this administration applies similar tactics to disarm military veterans.

I call on you to investigate abuses by this administration and to correct wrongdoing by it.

Sincerely,

John White
Rockwall, Texas
