What more can I add to this, but to say, God has a sense of humor.
What can destroy our nation? Division. Divide-and-conquer is a proven strategy that works every time it’s applied.
Candidate Barack Hussein Obama openly stated his goal to “fundamentally transform America”. He assumes, he believes, all black-skinned persons agree with him. In fact, a lot do, as witnessed in Waller County, Texas where heavily-armed Black Panthers moving in military-like formations openly called for the unrestricted murder of law enforcement officers.
Media reports make those domestic terrorists appear heroic, but this is not so. They are ignorant thugs whose hatred arises from inflammatory rhetoric and an assumption black people can’t possibly commit crimes.
Let’s not be misled. FEW black Americans agree with the Al Sharptons, Jesse Jacksons, Jeremiah Wrights and Black Panthers. Whether Democrat or Republican, your black neighbors generally share values of the greater population of our country. Your values.
Second, accept the fact of racial division fomented by this sitting president and his Attorney General. He welcomes inner-city racial strife as a means to expand his choke hold on America.
When our economy inevitably collapses, inner-city murder and mayhem will greatly expand. What to do? Watch your back. That murderer of Waller County Deputy Darren Goforth has a criminal past, is ignorant of history, has disdain for authority and he had a gun. There are plenty of people like Shannon Miles, Michael Brown and Trayvon Benjamin Martin.
What should you do? Be watchful. Avoid giving opportunity to armed conflict, but be prepared to defend yourself and others nearby. Don’t assume all black people are out to get you. Pray for God to open the eyes of people who are being deceived by Satan.
Be mindful of police activity. When you see police in traffic stops and elsewhere engaging the public, take a second look. That officer may need your assistance in one way or another. Act wisely.
Bad news: Things will get worse. Much worse.
Good news: God is on his throne, prayer changes things and Jesus is coming soon.

Our Declaration of Independence, U.S. Constitution of 1776 and the Bill of Rights ratified in 1791 were the product of thoughtful leaders addressing past wrongdoings of government.

Writs of assistance were court orders that authorized customs officers to conduct general (non-specific) searches of premises for contraband. The exact nature of the materials being sought did not have to be detailed, nor did their locations.
Using Writs of Assistance, British enforcers could forcibly enter private property at will in search of contraband, illegal substances, at will.
It was to prevent law enforcement officials from conducting no-knock raids based on hearsay testimony the founders added the Sixth Amendment to the Constitution.
Amendment VI: The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

First Duty of Government
The first duty of government is not to punish. Most certainly, it is not the duty of law enforcement officers to ascertain guilt or innocence. The first duty of all government is found in the second paragraph of the Unanimous Declaration of Independence.
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.–That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed
Yes, the first duty of all government is “secure these rights”. As you see in the above examples, no-knock raids based on scant evidence, most egregiously those that threaten lives of innocent persons, do not conform to either our history or our republican form of government.

Yes, we have gone all out to “inspire and prepare more girls and boys – especially those from underrepresented groups – to excel in STEM fields.” Based on what we know, we are preparing students to not be prepared to function in their actual career choices.
Ask yourself. Is this a good time for Rockwall ISD voters to add a quarter-billion dollars in debt on our backs?

In every case, solar energy systems and wind energy owe their existence to government mandates and subsidies. Government funding of these so-called ‘green’ initiatives actually causes them to be uneconomical, because government actions remove the element of competition essential to innovation and competitive pricing.
California lawmakers provide classic evidence of the fallacy of ‘green’ mandates and subsidies. Carbon fuels are natural and use of them is absolutely vital to human life. Science calls it the Carbon Cycle.
As human population grows, demand for life-sustaining oxygen also grows. 70% of our atmospheric oxygen comes from photosynthesis in surface waters. The Siberian Taiga produces approximately 25%. That leaves a mere 5% dependency on over valued rain forests and the rest of global plant life. Environmentalists overstate rain forest contribution threefold or more. Facts are stubborn things.
Point number three
Worldview matters in the affairs of government, economics and genuine science. For example, humanists (a polite term for atheists and agnostics) believe their mother earth must be protected from evil mankind, excluding themselves. From this worldview arise radical environmentalism, vegetarianism, eugenics (including government-funded abortions).
A Biblical worldview acknowledges a creationist point of view, confirmed by NASA’s theory of the ‘big bang’.
Is the world overpopulated? One state in our union has the population density of India and this state is known as “The Garden State”. No, New Jersey isn’t overpopulated.
Coal, natural gas and petroleum are NATURAL in the same way oxygen, nitrogen, argon, water, carbon-dioxide and ozone are also natural, meaning God created these elements and compounds to sustain human life. As our global population grows, so must our supplies of vital oxygen and energy-liberating natural resources.
What are you doing to protect free markets capable of delivering cost-effective, highly-beneficial and vital NATURAL resources? One no-cost thing you can do is communicate with your lawmakers, federal and state.
Wayne Fields, principal of C&F Electrical and I were fellow church members. My business was so new I had not yet purchased business cards. Wayne cautiously asked, “Are you going to put one of those fish on your card?” After my negative response, Wayne expressed his relief, relating how business owners who tout their Christianity on business cards are the ones most likely to be problematical. I listened. I took heed. Not once have I suggested a prospective client do business with me on the basis of my Christianity.
Over three decades of business ownership, my experience agrees with Wayne’s. In recent time, a company openly promoting itself as a benefactor to missions underscored for me the vital importance of differentiating between someone’s religious self-promotion and their particular skill set, honesty and integrity.
When I select my various medical professionals, I inquire about expertise, not religious affiliations. At my age, I don’t have time to experimentally discover who is and who isn’t a good physician, who can and who cannot.
Likewise, my mechanics, tire service company, lawn service and other resources: track record and referrals are everything to me. Building one’s business on referrals depends on honesty and integrity, about these two character qualities, Steven Covey wrote in his book The Seven Habits of Highly Successful People:
Honesty is telling the truth—in other words, conforming our words to reality. Integrity is conforming reality to our words—in other words, keeping promises and fulfilling expectations. This requires an integrated character, a oneness, primarily with self but also with life”
To be honest is to be truthful about past performance; to be a person or company of integrity is to fulfill or exceed customer expectations. An exercise I use is to ask myself, “What would my performance look like in a court of law?”
Can one rely on the salesman or business owner whose assurance of honesty and integrity lies with pious claims, a ‘fish’ on a business card? I wish it were so, but it’s not. By virtue of the ‘fish’ symbol on the business card or on a marquee, that symbol alone is no assurance of qualifications or integrity.
Of all customers whose paths I cross, church leadership is probably the most gullible, the most susceptible to ‘fishers of business’.
Is my perspective Biblical? Let’s walk through the Bible to see if it is.
First stop: Acts 5:1-11 where we read about two Christians, Ananias and his wife Sapphira. For a season, they had front-row seats, but their outcome was very unpleasant. Ananias and Sapphira were “fishing” for reputation, possibly to advance their real estate business.
Second: Acts 8:9-24 Where we learn about Simon Magus, aka Simon the Sorcerer, aka Simon the Magician, a Samaritan religious leader who was baptized by Philip the Evangelist. He seemed to act the part, but after Simon saw how the laying on of hands imparted great power, he wanted to get in on this amazing deal and offered to buy it from Peter and John. Well, that didn’t happen. Peter and John knew in an instant Simon was “fishing” for business.
Third stop: 1 Corinthians 5:11. The Church at Corinth was very much like just about any neighborhood church today. Its congregation ranged from truly righteous disciples of Jesus Christ to sexual perverts. Contemporary liberal churches that welcome homosexual ‘marriages’ as acceptable come to mind. The Apostle Paul admonished his Corinthian converts to avoid fellowship with fornicators, covetous (greedy), idolaters, railers, drunkards, or extortioners – “with such an one no not to eat“.
