A one dollar bill has a thickness of .0043 inches. Once can stack $232.56 of these bills one inch high. A stack $2,790.70 rises to one foot.

So, how big is $256,820,000 (one quarter billion dollars)? Driving distance from downtown Rockwall to Firewheel Towne Center in Garland is 18 statute miles. A horizontal stack of dollar bills would reach 17.43 miles, or almost the distance to Firewheel.

Were we to stack 256,820,000, the stack would climb to 17.43 miles, 92,027.17 feet, up there where no airplanes fly.
