Weary of election year politics? Tired of campaign speeches and political analyses by TV ‘talking heads’?
Here’s some good news for you: Voting isn’t a privilege. Voting isn’t an option on your To-Do List.
Voting is your duty. In fact, God commands us to vote.
“Whoa! Where’s that in the Bible?” you ask.
Exodus 18:21 – “But select from all the people some capable, honest men who fear God and hate bribes. Appoint them as leaders over groups of one thousand, one hundred, fifty, and ten.”
Deuteronomy 1:13 – “Choose some well-respected men from each tribe who are known for their wisdom and understanding, and I will appoint them as your leaders.”
Jeremiah wasn’t a ‘bullfrog’, he was a prophet who was fed up seeing the wicked prosper. Treachery chapped his cheeks. So it was he challenged God to explain why he had to endure the corruption and sin.
In Jeremiah 12:5 God answered Jeremiah, saying “If you have run with the footmen, and they have wearied you,
Then how can you contend with horses?
And if in the land of peace,
In which you trusted, they wearied you,
Then how will you do in the floodplain of the Jordan?”
Jeremiah’s situation is pertinent to our present situation in the United States of America. We are puzzled how prominent politicians like Hillary Clinton can get away with the crimes she has obviously committed? Why are establishment politicians allowing our nation to go to hell in a handbasket, so to speak?
To NOT vote is disobedience. To NOT vote is a concession that you have no faith in God to save us from inevitable consequences of the sins of our nation.
God doesn’t look kindly on disobedience; he enjoys and rewards obedience.
If you are weary with our present circumstances, imagine what life will be like if we the people do not stop atheistic unholy government now dead in its tracks.
Faith without works is truly dead.
DON’T GIVE UP. VOTE.
When the righteous increase, the people rejoice, but when the wicked rule, the people groan. – Proverbs 29:2
