
As you learn from the above news story, Egyptians must carry an identification card that bears official religious affiliations of either Muslim or Christian.
The story reminds me of my experiences while ministering in private homes in Cuba. (We couldn’t minister on the streets without facing arrest.)
I would ask which of the people assembled are believers. The homeowner would respond, openly pointing to each, “She is, she is, he isn’t…”. There the religious mindset is not denomination-centric, it’s Christ-centric.
This is true of all Muslim-dominated nations. Either you are, or you are not.
