TUCKER CARLSON: “So at an event several weeks ago in February you said this, and I wanted to ask you about it, and I’m quoting you, “I’m a proud Latino immigrant here in the United States. You know exactly what is going on here in the US. There are many people who do not want us to be here and who want to create a wall in order to separate us. But you know what, this is also our country. Let me repeat this, our country, not theirs, it’s our country.” Who’s the us, and who’s the they? Whose country is it?”
JORGE RAMOS: “This is our country, it is yours, it is mine and it is ours. The interesting this is with the Trump administration and many people who support Donald Trump they think it is their country, that it is a white country and they are absolutely wrong. This is not a white country, this is not their country, it is ours, and that is precisely what I’m saying. Look in 2044, the white population will become a minority, it will be a minority/majority country, that is precisely what I’m saying. Latinos, Asians, African-Americans, whites, it is our country, Tucker.” Source: Fox News
Jorge Ramos is an interesting fellow. He reminds me of a black child, a crack baby adopted by friends here in Rockwall. Her adoptive parents raised her as though she was a natural-born child. Her parents, by the way, are white-skinned blondes from up near the Canadian border. At a point in her childhood, she came home from school making disparaging remarks about a fellow black student. When her adoptive parents told her she is also black, she was startled because she never before thought of herself or others in terms of either race of skin color.
It seems Mr. Ramos was raised differently. Through the prism of his narrow worldview, he is wholly unaware that he is a white man. My own ancestry is Dutch and his skin is actually lighter than my own. Since he is a white man, how is it he incorporates himself into the brown-skinned Hispanics and Latinos whom he apparently believes will take over America, even as he excludes himself from fellow ‘white’ men?
Mr. Ramos needs to get out more, talk to real Texans and Californians, descendants of Hispanic immigrants who have married ‘white’ spouses. How does Mr. Ramos characterize the families of Senator Marco Rubio, Senator Ted Cruz, George P. Bush, and many of the families right here in Rockwall County, Texas?
By the way, Mr. Ramos, I speak Spanish in my home and with friends. Do you by some means now exclude me from valid American society?
Should I let him know there is only one human race? Nah! It’s much more fun seeing him crawl back into his hole during encounters with real news people like Carlson Tucker.
