The fundamental role of election cycles is to provoke voters to think and to be led by God’s grace. In the end, regardless your partisan affiliation, the King of Kings casts the tie-breaking vote.
As it is written in Daniel 2:21, “And He [God] changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and raises up kings; He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding.”
Our future peace or the lack thereof will be determined by our collective response to God’s grace. Philippians 2:13 says, “for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.”
Registered voters bear a tremendous responsibility, but few respond to this divine grace. Too often as few as 6% of eligible voters turn out to vote right here in Rockwall County.
There are numerous voter guides from which to choose candidates and issues but there is only one truly accurate ‘voter guide’ and He is the Holy Spirit.
Debates are good. Conversations around political themes are also good. But obedience to the will of God trumps all political activities.
Choose wisely, my friends and pray first before making your choices.
