California: porn capital of America, 20% of its population impoverished, state debt that ranks alongside Greece
PJ Media says, “The progressives who control every aspect of the state’s government are not necessarily stupid people, but they are malign. They understand that increasing welfare spending only encourages the arrival of more recipients on whom to spend it and the high likelihood that those new constituents will vote Democrat as soon as they are able, legally or otherwise. Already, some 55 percent of “immigrants” receive means-tested benefits, while only 30 percent of native Californians do so.” Read more http://bit.ly/2r8qI0p
Why all the poverty and legally-sanctioned wickedness?
Proverbs 29:2 says, “When the godly are in authority, the people rejoice. But when the wicked are in power, they groan.”
Proverbs 14:34 warns, “Godliness makes a nation great, but sin is a disgrace to any people.”
The spiritual dichotomy of Calfornia is at once a harbinger of irreversible misfortune and hope for all of America.
It was the city of Los Angeles where the Azusa Street Revival exploded on the scene in 1906, the same year of the horrific San Francisco earthquake.
The spiritually earth-shaking ‘Jesus Movement’ came through the ministry of Chuck Smith, pastor of a tiny congregation. A tsunami of spiritual revival sidestepped traditional Christianity to embrace and radically transform hippies, drug addicts, biker gangs, and others who would otherwise be unwelcome in most churches. That spiritual tsunami swept from the left coast to the east.
What I am saying is simply this: Look for revival in the darkest corners of the nation and your community. How does this work? Look to Romans 5:20 that says, “God’s law was given so that all people could see how sinful they were. But as people sinned more and more, God’s wonderful grace became more abundant.”
The Greek term translated ‘grace’ is charis, gift. What does God wrap up in this gift? The answer is found in Philippians 2:13. “For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him.”
The gift of grace is twofold. God gives us a desire to do something and simultaneously the power or ability to fulfill the desire – not to be confused with lust.
Evangelist Mario Murillo is a product of the Jesus Movement, a progenitor of that spiritual phenomenon that is at this moment in time reigniting revival that will sweep the nation and confound skeptics.
