Deaths by Firearms – A Matter of Perspective and Proportion

Narration:

The debates around the subject of the private ownership of firearms centers on self-defense. It’s time for a historical reality check, my friends.

The number one murder weapon in America today is not a firearm. It is the abortionist.

Since Roe v. Wade in 1973, over 60 MILLION Americans have been murdered in the womb. To date, 556,675 this year, alone. For real-time numbers, look to the US Abortion Clock.

Alone, 14,415 appears to be a huge number of deaths. Putting this number into perspective, it is minuscule.

In 2017, there were over 40,000 motor-vehicle related deaths in this country, 2.77 times more deaths than from firearms! Imagine how many lives would be saved by banning automobiles.

Let’s keep the focus on the historical and constitutional right to keep and bear arms. We have this right as a defense against tyrannical governments and as a defense against a warring nation.

I point to the City of Chicago for a nearby bad example of tyranny.

Chicago has the most restrictive gun laws in the entire country! It also has the highest rate of murder by firearm.

We must not allow the Right to Keep and Bear Arms slide into inane arguments around self-defense or hunting. Arm yourself with FACTS, like those stated above. KNOW the history of the Second Amendment.

Truth is transformational but you will not transform society without knowing the facts yourself.
