Over time, noted lawyers have used this rule of law: “If you have the facts on your side, hammer the facts. If you have the law on your side, hammer the law. If you have neither the facts nor the law, hammer the table.”
In the case of Mario Cuomo’s extortion of New York State financial institutions and his violation of the Commerce Clause, the NRA has both the law and the facts on its side.
Cuomo’s scheme to financially destroy the NRA is a veiled assault on the Second Amendment and a direct violation of the commerce clause in the U.S. Constitution. I say this because NRA headquarters is in the state of Virginia and Cuomo’s Hitleresque bunker is in the state of New York.
Article I, Section 8 empowers only Congress to regulate interstate commerce.
Perhaps his proximity to Canada influences Mr. Cuomo. I sense it is his distance from common sense and American history that motivates him to attack the foremost American civil rights organization.
The same NY Post that now recognizes the peril of Cuomo’s attack on the NRA has in times past also been a skeptic of the NRA. Apparently, no more.
No doubt, the NY Post leadership recognizes the peril to the First Amendment freedom of the press and freedom of speech, if Cuomo can successfully undermine the Second Amendment.
Mario Cuomo, Michael Bloomberg, and like-minded anti-gun zealots attribute gun violence to us, the patriotic, law-abiding members of the NRA. This worldview runs contrary to the facts.
A boycott movement earlier this year backfired on the anti-gun people as it drove hundreds of thousands of Americans to join the NRA, pushing membership well over 5 million.
I am the NRA. I am also licensed by the State of Texas to carry on my person, either concealed or open-carry, a handgun.
Firearms have been in my personal possession for now over 63 years and not once has anyone been endangered or harmed by me or my firearms. I am just an average NRA member.
To my knowledge, not even one of the murderous thugs roaming the streets of New York City or Chicago boasts membership in the NRA. You can be certain
I urge you to join the NRA. It’s inexpensive and you can do this online via this link: https://membership.nra.org/Join/Annuals/prospect
Let’s work alongside President Donald Trump to make America great again.
May God bless America and may God bless you.
