You can’t hold either words or light in your hand or store them in a jar, but they both have the power to heal or harm, expose or conceal, construct or deconstruct.
Before the advent of dictionaries, the meanings of words were dependent on the intent of the speakers. But, even today, with the myriad dictionaries available in print and digital, the meanings of words change.
Subsequent to the exposure of his scandalous misbehavior in the White House, former Pres. Bill Clinton, in sworn testimony, deflected the truth by challenging the meaning of possibly the singular most important verb in the English language. He said, “It Depends on what the meaning of the word is, is.”
God created our world and the entire universe with his words.
Satan, from the beginning of time, has been working to redefine words. His redefinitions are lies. A lie is “a false statement made knowingly and on purpose with the intention of deceiving”.
Pete Buttigieg, an Indiana mayor, an openly homosexual man who posits himself as a wife, actively strives to redefine the meaning of words for which the meanings of those words are found in the oldest dictionary, the Holy Bible.

What does the Bible reveal to us about the nature and character of Satan?
John 8:44 “…He has always hated the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, it is consistent with his character; for he is a liar and the father of lies.”
Romans 1:24-25 “So God abandoned them to do whatever shameful things their hearts desired. As a result, they did vile and degrading things with each other’s bodies. 25 They traded the truth about God for a lie. So they worshiped and served the things God created instead of the Creator himself, who is worthy of eternal praise! Amen.”
Shall God allow Satan to redefine truth? God has already set up Satan for defeat.
1 John 3:8 “The one who practices sin [separating himself from God, and offending Him by acts of disobedience, indifference, or rebellion] is of the devil [and takes his inner character and moral values from him, not God]; for the devil has sinned and violated God’s law from the beginning. The Son of God appeared for this purpose, to destroy [undo] the works of the devil.”
To my fellow Christians, be encouraged. Satan strives to redefine Christianity.
Here is the predictable outcome: We win. Satan loses.
