Illegal Aliens Counted in the Census?

Where To Start?

Senator Elizabeth ‘Pocahontas’ Warren says the census should count illegal aliens. How does this square with the U.S. Constitution?

Representatives shall be apportioned among the several States according to their respective numbers, counting the whole number of persons in each State, excluding Indians not taxed. But when the right to vote at any election for the choice of electors for President and Vice-President of the United States, Representatives in Congress, the Executive and Judicial officers of a State, or the members of the Legislature thereof, is denied to any of the male inhabitants of such State, being twenty-one years of age,* and citizens of the United States, or in any way abridged, except for participation in rebellion, or other crime, the basis of representation therein shall be reduced in the proportion which the number of such male citizens shall bear to the whole number of male citizens twenty-one years of age in such State.

U.S. Constitution, AMENDMENT XIV, Section 2 (Ratified July 9, 1868)

The Constitutionally Prescribed Purpose of the Census

Article I, Section 2, as amended by the 14th Amendment, describes persons who are to be counted in the census for the purpose of establishing congressional districts.

In Summary

Persons who reside unlawfully in one of these United States commits a crime and are excluded from the census.

California, the most populous state, naturally has the largest delegation of representatives in the U.S. House of Representatives.

The headlines and the new arrivals to our Texas communities reveal how hundreds of thousands of California residents, many lifelong Californians, are fleeing the state in droves.

Disastrous liberal governors and state assembly members represent the major cities of California where homelessness, illegal drugs, unbridled crime, and un-American policies have nearly destroyed that once great state.
