11/11/20: Commemorating the Mayflower Compact, Pleading for Mercy

On this day, 400 years ago, Christian colonists landed in Massachusetts.

“On November 11, 1620, the Mayflower anchored at what is now Provincetown Harbor, Cape Cod. Before going ashore, 41 male passengers–heads of families, single men and three male servants–signed the famous Mayflower Compact, agreeing to submit to a government chosen by common consent and to obey all laws made for the good of the colony.” History.com

It was also on this day the Christian pilgrims and a few other settlers crafted and agreed to the terms of the Mayflower Compact. before going ashore.

“William Bradford, the Pilgrim leader, was alarmed to learn that some of the others felt no obligation to respect the rules of the Pilgrims. In his words, they wanted to “use their owne libertie.” The male heads of Pilgrim and non-Pilgrim families therefore drew up a compact that bound all signers to accept whatever form of government was established after landing. The compact created a “Civil Body Politic” to enact “just and equal Laws, Ordinances, Acts, Constitutions and Offices.” Every adult male had to sign the agreement before going ashore. The compact remained in effect until Plymouth was incorporated into the short-lived Dominion of New England in 1686 and subsequently absorbed into the Massachusetts Bay Colony in 1691.” Mo U.S. History: Mayflower Compact 1620

The Holy Bible, the Mayflower Compact of 1620, the Magna Carta of 1215, and the English Bill of Rights of 1688 are the foundation of our present-day system of a government that rests on the principle of government by consent of the governed.

Liberty, freedom of choice, and the preceding principle shaped what is recognized today as Western Civilization, a child of Christianity, according to Rabbi Daniel Lapin.

A rising chorus of anti-Americanism today threatens our liberty. Civic organizations and church leaders credit veterans of our armed forces for our freedoms but this is not so. We veterans defend freedom but God is the source.

“Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty [emancipation from bondage, true freedom].” 2 Corinthians 3:17 AMP

Democrat President Barack Obama made clear his goal to fundamentally transform America. His vice president Joe Biden echoes that goal. Democrat radicals in Congress act to fulfill Obama’s vision of a fundamental transformation of our beloved America.

The underlying force behind the anti-American sentiment is atheism that was openly displayed by Democrat senators during the confirmation hearing for Justice Amy Coney Barrett.

We truly need a President Donald Trump but due to the wickedness of our people, Joe Biden is the president we deserve. May God have mercy on the people of the United States of America.
