America the Great: Post Tsunami

Sean Hannity weighed-in Thursday night on Joe Biden’s busy week; saying the new President’s flurry of Executive Orders will create “life-changing” problems for countless Americans in the years ahead.

“It’s after 9pm in our nation’s capital. That means Joe Biden is likely fast asleep. It’s been a busy week for Joe.  He signed a record 40 Executive Orders and Actions after just nine days in office. He’s tripled the number signed by Trump, Obama, and Bush combined at this point in their presidencies,” said Hannity.

“The consequences will be severe… Even the New York Times Editorial Board encouraged Biden to ease up. These actions will cause life-changing problems,” he added.

First Casualty: The 1776 Commission

On his first day in office, Biden cancelled the 1776 Commission established to research and promote patriotic education. What is the intended purpose of the 1776 Commission?

1776 Commission—comprised of some of America’s most distinguished scholars and historians—has released a report presenting a definitive chronicle of the American founding, a powerful description of the effect the principles of the Declaration of Independence have had on this Nation’s history, and a dispositive rebuttal of reckless “re-education” attempts that seek to reframe American history around the idea that the United States is not an exceptional country but an evil one. – Trump White House Archives | download the full report in PDF format via the link below

President Trump was moved to establish the commission to rebut the New York Times 1619 Project (paywall subscription required). Criticism of the project came from without ( and within the New York Times. Scholars rejected it. Gordon Wood, the Pulitzer Prize-winning historian of the American Revolution, characterized the New York Times’s 1619 Project as “So wrong in so many ways“. Even the New York Times discredited itself by rewriting facts.

Question: Who Is In Charge?

Why Do I Welcome Joe’s Tsunami of Onerous Executive Orders?

All of President Trump’s executive orders benefitted all the people of our country. In contrast, all of President Biden’s tsunami of executive orders countermanding all of President Trump’s orders harms all the people of our country.

As the saying goes, “it’s a cinch by the inch, hard by the yard”. Had the impatient radicals who advised and equipped Joe Biden to create a tsunami of onerous executive orders, the go-along-to-get-along crowd would have rested with a wait-and-see posture. Even Texas Governor Greg Abbott was spurred to signs an executive order to protect our Texas energy industry from federal overreach (pdf format download).

A body of Americans assume Biden’s push to raise the minimum wage to $15/hour is motivated by his fatherly concern for working Americans. Don’t kid yourself. He did it to aid organized labor unions.

Biden’s subscription to the Green New Deal will prove costly to American workers and businesses from coast to coast.

His bungling of a wide range of things will alarm and alienate his most ardent and forgiving voters. This is why the Republican Party is already working to flip the House to a substantial Republican majority and to dramatically increase the Senate GOP majority in the 2022 general elections.

As a former Democrat who walked away from the Democratic Party in 1980, someone who has been a ‘hard Republican’ for 40 years, I welcome the wave.
