Worthy of It All

Have you ever heard the expression, “Something was lost in the translation”?

1 Chronicles 16:29 is one of those biblical verses that lose something in the translation.
Spanish (RVR 1960) | Dad a Jehová la honra debida a su nombre…
English (AMP) | Ascribe to the Lord the glory and honor due His name…

La honra is personal, addressing virtue, honor, dignity, and reputation. The Bethel Music rendition of Worthy of It All is an excellent representation of la honra directed toward the Living God who is singularly “worthy of it all“.

You are worthy of it all

El honor relates to reputation: God’s your own, that of another person, or a group of people.

God’s reputation is known by believers and non-believers alike. Only a believer addresses the virtue, honor, dignity, and reputation of God in moments of intimate prayer and adoration.
