Attention all debtors! Yes, you, you, and you!

Your Congress just piled on more unsustainable debt to an already unsustainable national debt. Your individual tab is presently $173,549 and will dramatically increase over the next 12 months.

How did they vote on the Bipartisan Budget Act of 2018?

Sen. John Cornyn:      Yea
Sen. Ted Cruz:             Yea

Rep. John Ratcliffe:    Nay

Rep. Robert Francis O’Rourke (the Democrat challenger to Ted Cruz goes by the nickname ‘Beto’ to sound Hispanic) also voted Yea.

Rep. Pete Sessions voted Yea to raise the national debt another TRILLION dollar$. Why do I mention Pete? When the congressional district lines are redrawn, Pete will probably be representing Rockwall County.

I invite you to send a thank you note to Rep. John Ratcliffe (TX CD-4). Let’s applaud his oppostion to the outrageous Bipartisan Budget Act of 2018. Use John’s official contact form, enter your Zip Code + Extension and follow the prompts to the page where you can send your message to him.

I amend this posting to provide a link to a pertinent report from Grassroots America: Unprincipled Conservatives

Elections matter. In 2016, the resolution to repeal the seventeenth amendment became a plank in the Texas GOP State Platform. I submitted the same resolution again this year.

God Played the Trump Card – The Economy

Black unemployment falls to second-lowest level on record in February

Need a GOOD Reason to Vote March 6th? Think: Property Tax Reform

For further information, this link opens the full Texas GOP 2016 Platform. Item 175 follows.

Tax Burden- We in the Republican Party of Texas believe in the principles of constitutionally limited government based on Federalist principles. To this end we encourage our elected officials at all levels of government to work to reverse the current trend of expanding government and the growing tax and debt burdens this places on we the people. We believe the most equitable system of taxation is one based on consumption and wish to see reforms towards that end at all levels of government Furthermore, we believe that the borrower truly is a slave to the lender, and so long as we continue to increase our tax and debt burdens we will never be a truly free people.

Towards these ends, we support the reformation of the current systems of taxation at all levels of government: federal, state, and local. Examples of these reforms include the following:
1. Eliminating the Internal Revenue Service (IRS)
2. The “Fair Tax” system
3. A Flat Tax
4. The 1-2-3 No Federal Tax
5. Abolishing property taxes, but in the interim, property taxes should be paid on the price of the property when it was initially purchased.
6. Electing appraisal boards
7. Exempting inventories from property taxes
8. Abolishing estate taxes or the “Death Tax” as it’s more commonly known
9. Abolishing capital gains taxes
10. Abolishing franchise and business income taxes
11. Abolishing the gift tax.
12. Discontinuing revenue-generating licensing fee

State Income Tax Ban– We support maintaining the current ban on state income taxes in Texas.

Real Estate Transaction Tax -We oppose any creation of a real estate transaction tax.

Bond Elections– State and local bond election ballots should be required to include the amount of debt currently outstanding, current debt service payments, current per capita debt obligations, the amount of new debt being proposed, estimated debt service for the new debt, and estimated per capita burden being proposed. Any bond election (state or local) must pass with at least a 2/3 majority of voters to affirm the bond. The bond issue must obtain a yes vote of a minimum of 20% of registered voters. All elections of personnel responsible for adopting a budget and a property tax rate and all elections involving bond indebtedness shall be held on the November uniform election date and administered by the County Clerk or the County Elections Administrator. Any government entity should not spend taxpayer dollars in promoting further indebtedness or spending of taxpayer dollars via mass media. We oppose bundling of items on bond election ballots.

Is there truly an economic benefit to lower taxes?

Is there truly an economic benefit to lower taxes?

I can attest to the veracity of this chart above from Sen. Ted Cruz. President Reagan held office from 1981 through 1989. We started our business in 1987 in the aftermath of the I-30 condo scandal that wiped out several savings-and-loan companies. It was an improved economy that got us over that disastrous scandal.

We enjoyed a booming business under two presidents, “government is the problem” Reagan and “it’s the economy stupid” Clinton.

Taxes paid to governments by no means deserve to be labelled “investments”.

Investment defined: the investing of money or capital in order to gain profitable returns, as interest, income, or appreciation in value

Taxes NEVER appreciate your value. It is the returns on investments that add value.

Gross Domestic Product (GDP) is a measure of economic activity that represents “the total dollar value of all goods and services produced over a specific time period.” []

Trump haters virulently oppose tax cuts even when tax cuts work to their benefit. Blind hatred as defined in the Urban Dictionary is “to strongly dislike something without knowing the facts, or by using false information“. The Bible warns:

He also told them this parable: “Can the blind lead the blind? Will they not both fall into a pit? – Luke 6:39

Here’s a little wisdom if you can handle it: A rising tide floats all boats. This means that economic growth is good for Republicans, Democrats, Libertarians, anarchists, socialists, Christians, Jews, Muslims, atheists, and communists. (Anyone left out?)

Here’s a little more wisdom: Profitability of businesses forms capital to fund new businesses and to expand existing enterprises. We business owners are the folks who risk our net worth to provide goods and services and employment to add to your net worth.

No nation in all history has ever taxed itself into prosperity.

“I contend that for a nation to try to tax itself into prosperity is like a man standing in a bucket and trying to lift himself up by the handle.” – Sir Winston Churchill

As it is written in Holy Scripture, “you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free”.

Venezuelan Tyrant Maduro Turns to Rabbits for National Salvation

Can Bugs Bunny save Venezuela?

Easy answer: No. Rabbits cannot save Venezuelans. How did Venezuela come to this situation of hunger, government tyranny, murder, and silencing of public dissent?

yo bernie sanders.png

Listen to this CNN report titled: Can rabbit meat save Venezuela from going hungry?

Socialism did NOT begin with former president Hugo Chavez; it began with a people who expected the government to provide all their needs. It did. For a span of time. Then the expected happened: Venezuela began to run out of money and credit.

As former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher said, “The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people’s money.”

For the reasons made so obvious above, I have opposed ObamaCare even before Obama assumed office. Nothing has changed my mind.

I learned some neighbors near me cannot retire because they can’t afford the $800/month ObamaCare premium and neither can they afford the $8,000 deductible.

The government does some things very well and those things authorized by our Constitution are those that go well.
When we the people expect the government to take on responsibilities outside constitutional boundaries, we get similar results as do the Venezuelans.

I urge you to remind the House of Representatives and the Senate that our desire and the promise of our Republican Party was for a full repeal. Not a fix. Not more loopholes. Not repealed and replaced. Repealed. Period.

The National debt now soars well above $20 trillion with no end in sight. Higher tax rates will not pay down the debt, but higher incomes can. Therefore, I also urge you to demand the elimination of the Death Tax that robs widows and heirs of their inheritances, and abolition of all corporate income tax which is double taxation.

We small business owners can attest to the fact we pay income taxes twice: first on corporate earnings, then on our personal income.

Socialism blinds a people. By the time the people realize socialism is unsustainable, it’s just too late.

Government-Off-The-Rails – A sordid tale of establishment corruption

mueller expands his probe again
Image: Frontpage Magazine 21 July 2017

The stated purpose for the Special Prosecutor is to investigate possible collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia.

So, when did Mr. Donald Trump become Candidate Donald Trump? The answer is July 2016 when he announced his candidacy.

It’s time for all Americans, regardless political affiliation, to rise up and say ENOUGH!! Enough of this mindless campaign to overturn the 2016 Presidential election.

Mueller expands his “investigation” a second time for a span of TEN YEARS prior to the 2016 elections.

Background: Mueller is a Democrat, a former FBI director who hired a staff of Democrat lawyers that were all Clinton contributors. Even Senator Chuck Schumer should have the discernment that this is government-off-the-rails.

While there is ZERO evidence of wrongdoing by Mr. Trump, there is ample evidence of wrongdoing by Mrs. Clinton. Why is there no investigation of her? Have the establishment people so compromised Jeff Sessions that he cannot do the right things?

Today I will tell my two U.S. Senators, John Cornyn and Ted Cruz, to end the witch hunt that threatens our national security, our international prestige, and, if allowed to continue, will cause investors to lose confidence in the United States of America. When investors lose faith in the economy, there will be a disastrous depression the likes of which the world has never seen.

Open Letter to Congress: Why you must repeal ObamaCare

Senator John Cornyn
Senator Ted Cruz
Representative John Ratcliffe

Fact Number One – Political Deception

The Affordable Care Act was perpetrated on Congress and the American people through intentionally misleading information from the Obama administration.obamacare-this-is-going-to-hurt
In the video below, MIT economist Jonathan Gruber describes how the bill was written “in a tortured way to make sure that CBO did not score the mandate as taxes. If the CBO scores the bill as taxes, the bill dies…The lack of transparency is a huge political advantage…Call it the stupidity of the American voter, whatever, that was critical to get the thing passed.”

Fact Number Two – Insurance Providers Dropping Out

  • According to analysts at the elite investment bank Jeffries, Anthem is likely to exit a large amount of Obamacare’s individual insurance markets for 2018. Anthem currently offers insurance under the Blue Cross and Blue Shield brand in 14 states and remains one of the only large companies that still offers coverage through the Affordable Care Act. An Anthem exit would spell disaster for consumers in parts of Colorado, Kentucky, Missouri, and Ohio.  These states could potentially have no insurers in the Obamacare exchanges.
  • UnitedHealth Group and Aetna already left most state exchanges, with Humana saying it plans to stop offering any individual ACA plans by 2018.
  • The Obama Administration promised the ACA was not a tax but argued before the Supreme Court that it is and the Court agreed.

Source: Heatstreet, Health Plans for Individuals –  Review 2017 Plans and Prices (March 30, 2017)

  • Aetna will not participate in the Iowa individual public exchange for 2018 as a result of financial risk and an uncertain outlook for the marketplace.

Source: Zero Hedge, Obamacare Implosion: Last Major Healthcare Provider Pulls Out Of Iowa Leaving No Options In 2018 (May 3, 2017)

Fact Number Three: The original goal was and remains single-payer

Democrat Lawmakers Intended From 2009 to Move the nation to single-payer health provider – aka National Medicaid.

  • “We had a real good run at the public option … don’t think we didn’t have a tremendous number of people who wanted a single-payer system.”

Source: Healthcare Now: Sen. Reid: Obamacare ‘Absolutely’ A Step Toward A Single-Payer System (May 30, 2017)

Fact Number Four: A single-payer health care system that covers everyone must be paid by healthy, employed taxpayers.

Therefore, income taxes will dramatically rise to fund a single-payer system and absolutely every detail of our formerly private lives would be at the fingertips of federal bureaucrats.

Fact Number Five: The 2016 Republican Party Platform Promised a Full Repeal of the Affordable Care Act

I quote from the final draft, “Any honest agenda for improving healthcare must start with repeal of the dishonestly named Affordable Care Act of 2010: Obamacare. It weighs like the dead hand of the past upon American medicine. It imposed a Euro-style bureaucracy to manage its unworkable, budget-busting, conflicting provisions. It has driven up prices for all consumers. Their insurance premiums have dramatically increased while their deductibles have risen about eight times faster than wages in the last ten years. It drove up drug prices by levying a $27 billion tax on manufacturers and importers and, through mandated price cuts for drugs under Medicare and Medicaid, forced pharmaceutical companies to raise prices for everyone else.”

I insist Senate Republicans be promise keepers and fully repeal the Afforable Care Act. If there is to be an expansion of Medicaid for existing conditions, do so under a separate bill.
